"We were so pleased with our stay. As our itenerary evolved we had considered cancelling this stop but I'm so glad we didn't. The hospitality was so kind and welcoming, the grounds were lovely and they have done a wonderful job resorting and maintaining this old building to feel historical but absolutely beautiful and so comfortable. "This is a very old house, with old furniture - it is well kept. It has a new clothes washer and dishwasher. The clothes washer leaked under the sink, and the owner came to try to fix it. It was pretty clean, although there were a lot of ants in the kitchen. There’s no air-conditioning, obviously, and it was very hot - it is hard to cool the house now unless you leave all the windows open, and there are no screens, so then a lot of flying insects come in.
