This is my second stay at Tairoa Lodge. It is a beautifully restored house with kauri floors and staircase, set in a large garden. Outside, the kauri trees, although young for kauri trees, are magnificent. Linda was an attentive host with a good eye for the details that make your stay memorable. Highly recommended for a taste of historic New Zealand.

Stayed in one of the motel rooms during a 2-day stopover for business. Have stayed here before and the experience was just as good this time around. Motel room impeccably clean. Also comfortable and quiet. Very good value for money.
Staff are excellent here. I noticed that the wi-fi was considerably faster and much more reliable than during my previous stay. That was about my only issue during my previous stays, but it's a LOT better now.

2nd stay. Lovely friendly staff. We got there at 1pm and as room was ready we were able to get our room early. Walked to town, water front and park to see christmas lights. Easy walk to two supermarkets. Safe parking for car. Will stay at Amber Court again. Thanks
