Sensational hotel, not what we expected, in this case a good thing! It's an old beer brewery so location is a bit odd. Behind the Google head office in an office park area.

After travelling throughout Europe, we finally found the perfect hotel room. The room was very clean, spacious, good lighting, and so well laid out. Comfy bed and pillows, bathroom very practical with large shower and plenty of bench space. Room and bathroom overall was modern and luxurious. The room also had aircon (we learnt the hard way this is not common in Switzerland but a MUST if you visit during their summer). The Hotel Schweizerhof in Bern is an iconic hotel right in the centre of Bern, within easy walking distance of the train station, shops and restaurants. We utilised the valet parking service to park our hire car and asked for the car to be ready the next day at 10am. The room was amazing, with majestic views of Alps, snowy festive scenes and felt like the World had slowed down. Great hosts, attentive and very polite.
