"The extra added touches make this location special. The staff asking you what room you would like, the soft towels, the large double sink bathroom with a drain that actually has a stopper that works, the long bench so both your suitcases can rest easily on it, the double footstools so two people can relax at the same time, the soft blanket in the closet for when you feel chilly. Everything was clean fresh and appeared new. There were many breakfast choices including cheese omelettes, sausage, blueberry muffins, French toast, waffles, and cereal. Unfortunately both milk pitchers were empty when we were there. Overall an excellent place to stay!"

"We really enjoyed the Statler for an anniversary getaway. The whole experience was great—the location is prime for Staunton’s downtown, the common areas of the house were well appointed and well stocked with various treats, the room was very spacious and comfortable, and they are very thoughtful about providing what you need to have a great stay. It is a historic house, so be prepared for creaky floors and for sound to bounce around the house in strange ways. But, again, they provided a sound machine to help with that!"
