"The hotel is situated at the end of a road and is in a very quiet location. We parked at the bottom of a hill and had to hike up to the hotel with our bags (good for your fitness!). You could drive up closer to the entrance if needed. We had been sent an email with a code to get our key out of a lockbox at the entrance, but completely forgot about this when we arrived. Tobias greeted us and gave us our key. He also explained about the drinks and food area. Drinks are taken based on an honesty...

"Unsere Buchung war nicht im System, obwohl 2 Monate vor dem betreffenden Datum schon mit der Unterkunft telefoniert wurde, da es damals schon Probleme gab und die Buchung für den falschen Monat übernommen wurde. Man konnte uns zu zweit nur noch ein Einzelzimmer anbieten, in das ein Klappbett gestellt werden musste. Durch das Bett ging die Tür des Badezimmers jedoch nicht mehr richtig auf und wir mussten Möbel aus dem Zimmer stellen um es überhaupt rein zu bekommen."

"I arrived on a Monday but was disappointed to learn the restaurant was shut. Had to drive back into Düren for food. Germany doesn't seem to like Mondays! Hotel is good, if not slightly tired, but very clean and I slept well. My Monday evening disappointment was short lived following a very welcoming and wonderful breakfast. Very nice staff."

"Perfect hosts, great food, a hotel with unique charme and wondrrful food!"

"Convenient to get to Merode. Unfortunately we stayed the night there was a large group also staying and there was a lot of noise. We were also mostly unable to use the kitchen because the group that was staying kind of took it over. Parking and access was a bit tricky, as another guest had parked in two spots, so we had to find a place a few blocks away. The keypad for the door was a bit sensitive. The room and bathroom were clean and comfortable."

"Everybody should know that you have to read the little text of the booking carefully before coming to this hotel. They don´t speak other than germany and we did not manage to get anybody answering the phone. They require photo of you ID and of the credit card before coming even if you have paid the room in advance. Only then you get the code for the entrance and to your room. There is no personality at the place except the cleaning persons. The place itself is really wonderfully and room...
