"What an absolute dream of a space - inside and out! We loved every minute of our stay at Furnas Lake Forest Living. The location is a perfect home base for getting around the island, exploring hot springs, and hiking. There are several local hikes within walking distance or 5-10 mins driving. The decor is sleek and comfortable with lovely attention to detail. We also had breakfast and dinner at the restaurant which is a MUST-- the best food we had during our stay. "It was a nice comfortable hotel. The staff was friendly and efficient. I wish there was a refrigerator in the room. The interior furnishings were fresh and modern, but the outside could be maintained better. Being so close to the water probably has challenges with salt air, but paint and power wash might make it look better on the outside. "

"The house location was good, the village and the natural pool very nice. *****BUT****** the house was not at all the one described. Only 2 rooms instead of 3 announced ! The third room behind the house was closed and, when we found the key, what a surprise ! A very bad surprise ! It seems to be abandoned for several years. All inside was so wet, moldy and dirty. There were old and used sheets on the bed.... it was awfull ! The ground floor front bedroom's shower was dirty, we had to wash it to...

"Overall, the property was Good: breakfasts, the dinner we had, the rooms were all as expected; the interior decor is good: the dining room had a display cabinet with an old radio set I remember from when I was a kid!! The location is a short walk (downhill) to the City Gates, good for buses, shops and marina with its shops and restaurants. Unfortunately, we were in a street facing room where, on Wednesday night, we were woken up by music and what must have been karaoke at about 0130 (Thursday)....
