Elevator on our side of the hotel stopped working daily. The staff explained that had to be reset manually each day and they would have someone look at it the following Monday. They did offer to move us to another room after a few days of our stay. We found bed bugs in one of the beds. They asked us for pictures, but we had already disposed of them.

We were in building B and on 3rd floor. The elevator was broken most of the time we were there. That made it difficult every day, considering we came to Golden to golf and we had to carry four sets of golf clubs up and down the stairs. Then we were told they had a lounge with a bar which they did But the person on duty never offered us a drink came to check on us anything like that so we weren’t sure if we were supposed to make our own drinks or what we sat in there For probably an hour playing cards and no one offered us a drink. Then when we checked out, I brought the key card to the front desk and she didn’t say oh thanks for staying with us or anything. The person that checked us in, she was really nice and she was the one who told us that there was a lounge .. I was kind of disappointed that the only time you could get maid service if you called and asked them for maid service I think your hotel rooms need to have a little bit bigger trash cans because we ended up leaving a bunch of stuff on top of the table because we couldn’t throw it away. On that note, the beds were very comfortable. The pool was very clean and next time we come in town, we may try you again.

There were dead bugs, old/used contacts on counters, 1 out of 3 elevators worked, floors were dirty. All around the room was not cleaned properly before our stay.

Overall it was a good stay for just the one night. But the ac unit didn’t seem to work that well and had a loud rattle to it. Our bed sheets also had 2 stains on it which is definitely not cool.

For going to a Red Rocks concert it was very convenient and a great location. However, the hotel and room had some issues. The elevator did not work all the time and we were on the second floor. Bar soap was not in the room. The internet was inconsistent and the TV would spin on most channels. Went to check out and there was very little food at the breakfast. There appeared to be only one person working. Talking with other folks staying at the hotel had issues as well. Stayed the night before at another Best Western in Colorado Springs and it was very nice in all categories.
