"Room and bathroom was a little small for a hotel room described as a King Suite, but it was clean and comfortable. The microwave handle was broken, but it still worked. Brenda at guest services was extremely pleasant and helpful to a guy who was visiting Dekalb for the first time. The breakfast exceeded expectations in the number of hot offerings and variety. I did not anticipate biscuits, eggs, and sausage gravy as being one of the complimentary menu items. Fresh Belgian waffles, the eggs bacon and cheese mini omelettes were delicious as well. A+++ on breakfast for sure, and I came down toward the end, and it was still plentiful and fresh. Overall, I give the value of the stay and quality of the hotel as an A-, would definitely stay here again. Didn't have an opportunity to try out the fitness center or pool, because it was a quick stop. However, me and the boys will probably stay here later in the summer on our golf trip through this area, and would probably make some use of these amenities then. "

"We recently stayed at the Comfort Inn & Suites in North Aurora, IL, and unfortunately it was a very disappointing experience. When we first arrived, the room had a strong foul odor, but we decided to just deal with it and move on. Later that night around 10 PM, we discovered dog poop in the room. At that point, the staff did move us to another room, but the replacement room only had a single king bed instead of the two-bed room we originally booked for my wife, daughter, and me. We had to use the pull-out couch for sleeping arrangements, and then had to make another trip to request sheets for it. We were also told there were no extra pillows available, so we actually had to go back to the original room, the one with the dog poop, to get pillows ourselves. While I appreciate that the staff at least switched our room, the overall experience was unacceptable, especially for a family stay. Given everything that happened, some kind of refund or compensation would have been appropriate."

"Check in was a pain at the kiosk, in person would be better I think. Though the staff on site wasn't the best either. We checked in late, after 11pm, due to the dance competition we were staying there for. The hand soap in our room was empty, so I asked for some at the desk, as well as a couple extra pillows if possible. Someone came and was banging on the door at 1:30AM, with pillows but forgot soap. Came back 10 minutes later with shampoo and conditioner, not hand soap. Woke my two kids the first time, had just fallen back asleep and woke again when he returned. There was a weird smell in our room and the toilet barely flushed."
