"Even-though the property and rooms were well maintained, unfortunately on the deck outside came a mouse on one night and a cockroach on the last night. Overall the staff was non-existent since the property was almost empty. Due to the seaweed infestation and very bad smell the property was uninhabitable outside. The beach was unswimmable. We were ones of unfortunate guest they ended up booking badly. When we called the reception to understand if this would last all week, they replied with an attitude that they can’t determine the weather. The hotel/Expedia should be warning the clients of such conditions as we have paid a lot of money to stay at this resort. We have the expectation that we would be able to sit outside and swim at a beach side resort. We should have been given the opportunity to switch to a different resort. On the last day of check out we had check out at the oyster pond resort since the villa’s reception was not open at 8:00 am. Again with an attitude the reception didn’t even ask how our stay was and not a single thank you was uttered. The entire experience was not good and I wouldn’t recommend anyone staying at either resorts. I expect some kind of refund otherwise I wouldn’t recommend anyone going to St Martin at all."

"We had an amazing time at the Villa Oyster Pearl. The bedrooms throughout the property were immaculate, roomy and comfortable. There are plenty of nice sized bathrooms. The house overall is spotless. Lewis was so responsive to every question we had and helped set up an incredible week of delicious food, sights, shopping and snorkeling. The view from the villa was amazing. There was plenty of shade and we spent nearly all of our time outdoors. We chose to have a driver, Paco, who was so funny and helpful - we always felt safe with him. We had Felicia cater a few meals and the food was fabulous. Eddy is on site and is kind and helpful. The stairs to the studio are a little challenging but not a problem for our friends. We had the best time! "

"Without a doubt one of the most gorgeous views I have ever seen in Sint Maarten. Upon arrival back home, I literally woke up the next morning with the memory of having my morning coffee on the balcony. Always a beautiful breeze... Many days we just opened up patio doors, turned on ceiling fans and just took in sounds and smell of the ocean. Owners, Mariana and Manjo were so prompt at replying back to you with any questions or concerns. The condo was so very spacious and clean. The only thing is you will need to taxi or rent a car to get to most places. It can be a bit of a challenge to drive but all in all it's a beautiful place and I will miss the island and those views! "
