Accepted Answer

The best area to stay in Davos is Davos Platz, particularly around Promenade.

It's also where you'll find the Davos Congress Centre and the Schatzalp funicular. The area is highly walkable, making it easy to get around on foot or by using the local bus service, which is often included with your stay.
