"This hotel is aged. Pain peeling, furniture faded and knocked and carpets from a bygone era. Car parking is in the town on a public street which entails carrying luggage a long way to the hotel rail shuttle and then again onto the hotel reception. The rooms are terrible. Very dated. The bed base on the floor with a thin mattress atop a 15cm high base. You don't so much step out of bed when you get above a certain age, as roll out. The bed sagged to so didn't provide comfort. "The hotel is about a 15-20 minute walk from the railway station (which is also served by the Glacier Express). However, the shortest walk from the railway station involves some very steep hills! I had a stunning view of the lake from my room. The hotel is not far from the famous Hanselman Bakery. Room was reasonably sized and had all the usual facilities. I visited in the summer and most shops closed relatively early."
