"Great location for visiting Bristol. Hotel a little run down. Staff friendly and enthusiastic but a little bit inept. Over complex air con and heating system a particular issue. "

"Fridge wasn't actually cold, jammed outer window that wouldn't close so there was consistent traffic noise from being next to major road. The fan/heater unit system is ancient, full of lint / dust and very ineffective -- particularly the heater setting (not very warm and would turn off after a couple of minutes). General cleanliness not great -- hairs etc in the bathroom, dirty carpet. There was also the most annoying buzz coming from various electronics in the room and the plug system to turn off wasn't accessible. No view, literally just multiple major roads. Bedding average, mattress not comfortable (hard). TV had option to connect own device, however this did not work no matter what I did. Extractor fan in the bathroom very weak and ineffective, annoying as the only available mirror with ample light is in the bathroom -- there is a long mirror in the bedroom but too dark to use. Small, rough and thin towels -- many of which were stained."

"After reading the negative reviews, I was a bit apprehensive but shouldn’t have been, it was a great stay for our family of 4. The studio was as advertised and the sofa bed was made up for our kids. The room had everything we needed, everything worked and the location you can’t beat (for Clifton village). Yes, parking can be a bit tricky here but we know the area and you can always find street parking for a fee. We also stayed Saturday night, so paid the premium but would still recommend and return. Think the main takeaway from other people’s negative reviews is the checking process, but if you check in online as requested, you receive your entry codes for both doors prior to arriving and that’s all you need. We booked 24 hours prior and had no problems "
