"Das Calla Old School House ist ein wirklich besonderer Ort.Zuerst die Lage direkt am Wild Atlantik Way. Aus jedem Fenster einfach nur Connemara pur. Im Westen der Atlantik mit atemberaubender Küste. Im Osten mit Wintergarten das Moor mit Loch und dahinter die Berge. Traumbuchten mit wunderschönen Stränden (Dogs-, Gurteen- und Mannin Bay) und liebliche Ortschaften (Clifden und Roundstone) mit toller Gastronomie und Stimmung, alles ist in der Nähe.Dann der Charme des alten Hauses. Er wurde bei der Renovierung erhalten. Durch die persönliche und liebevolle Einrichtung fühlt man sich als Gast in einem privaten Heim, nicht wie in einem Ferienhaus. Das gilt auch für die Ausstattung, an wirklich alles wurde gedacht und man vermisst nichts. Selbst passende Bücher und CD’s laden zum Genießen und Träumen ein. Auch das Housekeeping vor Ort ist perfekt und dabei unaufdringlich.Zum Schluss der fast wichtigste Punkt. Es ist schwer zu beschreiben, was Calla mit einem im Kopf macht. Man ist hier meilenweit vom Alltag entfernt und kann vollkommen entspannen. Hier lebt man sozusagen zeitlos. Man muss es erleben…"

Don’t miss the Prosecco Welcome and the hotel owners talk on the history of the local area and Abbeyglen Castle itself. It was absolutely fascinating, occasionally humorous and brought everything to life. The owner remembered our names from the moment we were introduced. Very rare! I’ve travelled globally for business 2 out of 4 weeks for the past 15 years. I’ve stayed in some fantastic hotels around the world. Our stay at Abbeyglen castle was the most personal and best customer experience I’ve had anywhere."
