"This was a great stay! Being a castle and older building, we weren’t sure how modern the facilities would be but we were pleasantly surprised to find a room which blended the charm and heritage of the castle, with everything you need today. Pianos throughout were a great touch too! "

"This property was perfect for what we were looking for. In town. Easy access and parking. It was clean, comfortable and quiet. The linens and towels were high quality. We only had four in our group, so the size was quite large, but the price is reasonable, and the “dorm room feel” would easily accommodate 8 or more.We had a slight problem finding the unit, but that was because we didn’t read the instructions carefully. There are a few stairs to navigate, so it would not be the right place for those with accessibility issues. Clifden is a great little town. There is plenty to do, with beaches to explore, etc"
"Absolutely stunning. We had a fantastic time at the Sky Road home, we had everything we needed, Paul was so nice and helpful. Views were stunning each day. We loved walking to the Coffee Corral every day, as well as walking to the castle. "
"We got a really warm welcome on arrival which was lovely. They accommodated us having dinner even though we arrived only just before 9pm. Food was really tasty and service was great - plenty of well trained staff.
The hotel all looks newly decorated and is finished to a very high standard - felt luxurious. The room was clean and comfortable.
Location was great. Plenty of car parking although it was very full, but we did manage to find a space. "
Beautiful lake side cottage in the heart of Connemara
10/10 Excellent
"We had an excellent time on Connemara, and this house was a comfortable, beautiful home base. Beds, showers, kitchen amenities, view, and everything were lovely. "
Charming BNB in the heart of Clifden walking distance to bus and parking outside
8/10 Good
"We were not booked in via Vrbo ? Apparently it had to be done manually? Clearly the communication between Vrbo and The Ivy was not working, however a room was found for us, had to be changed from a double to a twin as per specifics of our booking. Newly decorated and carpeted room, very lovey, dated shower and NO mattress cover on the my single bed ? Yuk. Room not refreshed on day 2, no replenished milk/tea coffee etc. Despite this we were made welcome and the breakfast was lovely - thank you, would visit again but would book direct next time "
TI SHEAMUIS, family friendly, with open fire in Carna, County Galway
10/10 Excellent
"The view from the couch is awesome. Paddy Keane the owner was a nice gentleman and I enjoyed conversing with him. Cottage is comfy but if you are looking for local action, it may be too isolated for you. We loved it& didn’t mind the drive to Clifden, about 20 km. Carna was closer but much smaller but had a pub & pizza."
