"Staff were great, room had a microwave but not enough dishes and no toaster or coffee machine. Balcony did not have a proper privacy screen. No restaurant on the property but Ramada next door was good. The swimming pools were cold no heating."

"Good for a stay in the rainforest. Pretty much at the end of the line before the 4wd dirt track . Had a Casowary outside our unit and a big croc on the beach . Unit was basic but adequate. The property has a reasonably priced bar and restaurant right on the beach . I would recommend staying here."

"This is the place to stay in Port Douglas. Everything is fabulous about By The Sea but it is the staff who make your holiday the absolute best. Friendly, cheerful, helpful, nothing is too much trouble. The accommodation is excellent & everything is there for you to have a wonderful holiday."

"Great place! Private rooms but shared spaces and kitchen encourages community. Restaurant had great pricing and food, though food took a while. Staff were incredibly friendly, nice clean space in the room and around the property. Great location to everything in port Douglas and Mossman"
