Minecart Motor Lodge

Minecart Motor Lodge

8/10 Good
"When we arrived at the property it seemed a little bit frumpy, but when I opened the room door I was quite surprised. They are small rooms but arranged well. The best thing was how clean the rooms were. I would definitely stay there again."

"Nice neighborhood, good parking, very clean and comfortable. Bunk bed was reasonably comfortable, larger bed was OK but different from what I'm used to. That said, it was a very nice VRBO experience, better than many that I've had and would not hesitate to recommend to anyone looking for a 2-3 person stay in Montrose."

Year around peaceful adventure hideaway

Year around peaceful adventure hideaway

10/10 Excellent
"This was the perfect cabin! The property is perfect for hanging out and playing games. We loved the ladder game and bocce ball! We had a fox friend come over and try to eat one of our Bocce balls, he was cute, but we kept our distance. I saw several deer out grazing in the mornings from the porch as well. (The porch was my favorite )The location is great too! It only took us an hour to get to the Black Canyon of the Gunnison and 1.5hrs from Ouray. We would love to come back to this cabin and will be telling others about it too! Thanks for the excellent experience!"

The Stone House Inn

The Stone House Inn

10/10 Excellent
"Every now and then you find a rental at the intersection of charming and perfect. This was one of those situations. I've travelled a lot and this was a unique property. Plenty of useful cookware and supplies, a well-appointed bathroom, and delightful bonus movie room. This was also the first time that I've ever seen chilled beer mugs in a freezer ready to go. I enjoyed perusing the DVD and book collection, but you can also log in to a streaming service. All my needs were met and the hosts were highly responsive to inquiries. It would be an ideal romantic stay for couples visiting the area. I would note that the bed was a queen size? Not sure there was space for a king size bed though. That would be my only comment."
