The Spa Hotel

"We really liked the convenience factor for the wedding we were attending in Eridge. The rooms (x3) were basic with a king bed ( a Superking would have fitted) , two old looking arm chairs ( from a care home?) a VERY modern glass desk and modern oak headboard. The paint colours on the walls were nice, but the carpet was a sort of light charcoal (sensible rather than pretty) and the huge Roman blind was a strong cream with two strips of dark brown either side. It was as if three different people had separately decorated the room! Rather odd, we felt. The shower had waves of hotter and colder water, which made for a bit of excitement in the mornings …. Breakfast was very good; they brought me a freshly sliced avocado on toast, rather than risk the ready mixed variety’s strength of chilli."

"Absolutely fantastic property, very nice layout, very clean, beautiful well kept garden with a large 12ft pool to dip into, own parking bay, secluded enclosed garden for dogs and kids. had a great week with our dogs, the UK weather was excellent, beautiful countryside, a short drive to a supermarket, petrol station. Farm shop a short drive away but very expensive, Pubs not too far away, lanes not really suitable for walking along, not many cars but they drive too fast. We would love to go again, 100% recommend Hamsell Dairy"

"Fiona is a great, very friendly, easy-going host who gave us a lot of welcome info before our stay. Communication was always easy and quick. When we arrived we were astounded at the perfection of the holiday home. It is really a home, everything that you could think of is available and of high quality. All you have to bring is your own daily fresh food and drink. Spices, coffee, tea etc are all there already. Everything was spotlessly clean as well. Parking is very easy, right in front of the house, as in the pictures. The house is in a dead end road, so very quiet. At the back you only hear the birds. At the front you have a great view over the Sussex Downs. If we want to explore the area again, we will certainly be back!"

"A quirky, clean and comfortable property with easy access to good pubs and some splendid countryside. The owners live on site and are friendly and helpful but not intrusive. The cooking facilities are indeed limited, but that is honestly stated in the property description. On the other hand there is a good dining space, which we have often found sacrificed in smaller cottages. And we thought the shower was a corker. We would definitely rent this property again if we needed to visit this area."

"If you love a peaceful country retreat then this is for you. Wildlife all around. The owner could not be more helpful. Peacocks at the back door herds of dear and flocks of amazing rheas much better than advertised. You do need a car with good clearance for the track through the forest but it's worth it as it all ads to the amazing adventure. Thank you once again to our host Martin who meets guests at the gate to lead you through the forest."
