"Staff were exemplary and Evening meal was delicious. The breakfast next morning was clearly cooked by some one else and a bit average. Hotel was a little tired in places but it woustop us going again."

"Our stay was great. The food was good; huge made-to-order breakfast omelette. Only problem was the bathtub needed a bit of scrubbing....there was scum around the sides in the bathtub. Other than that it was great."

"The staff were lovely and tried very hard but there weren't nearly enough to cover the workload. We weren't in a hurry but at dinner it took 2 and a half hours to get 2 courses and there weren't a lot of diners. We ate on a Wednesday evening around 7pm and 3 of the meal options were "off" and all pizzas so the choice was very limited. At breakfast the next morning the food was perfectly acceptable but the only preserve available was raspberry jam. The stock control really needs to up its game! The hotel is in a lovely position so it really could be so much better."

"Hotel conveniently located on the high street, with car parking around the back, and free street parking at the front. Rooms 6 and 8 were spacious with large double beds and good amenities, however the decor and furniture in the bedrooms and en suites was a bit tired and in need of doing up or replacing, and being cleaned more thoroughly. The downstairs restaurant looked to have a good menu, but we chose to have an Indian next door (very good!) and the hotel’s breakfast menu and service was very good and plentiful."
