"Where should I even begin… The hotel looks nothing like the pictures online—it’s very outdated. Right when you walk into the lobby, you can see cracks in the ceiling. The elevators feel unsafe, with shaky movement and broken buttons. That was just the start of our three-night stay. When we got to our room on the 11th floor, the noise was constant. The beds appeared to be made with clean sheets at first glance; however, upon closer inspection, we found a toenail in the bed, which was extremely concerning and unhygienic. We then opened the bathroom door where we were greeted by an unexpected “guest”—a roach (see picture). To make matters worse, when I grabbed the toilet paper, there was what appeared to be feces already on it. I immediately went to the front desk, showed them photos, and spoke with the manager. After contacting the regional manager, they offered $25 off per night and moved us to a different room. Room #2 was no better—actually worse. It was even louder, the toilet was wobbly, the shower had rust stains, lamps didn’t work, and the nightstand outlets were unusable. Overall, this stay was extremely disappointing. The photos online are very misleading and do not reflect the actual condition of the hotel. At checkout, I was only refunded $50. The front desk manager claimed the $25 discount was only for two nights, not all three. At that point, I didn’t feel like arguing further. Unfortunately, since I booked through a third party, I couldn’t get a full refund."

"I selected this after flights delayed two days and wanted a cheaper hotel from where I’d attended conference in Cincy. I opted not to add breakfast. Property looks rough on outside especially compared to nearby hotels. I was concerned. However, the inside was very nice. Very comfortable bed. Great shower. Keurig in room. Updated room. Older ac/heat. Can hear highway noise. We walked to Braxton’s Brewery. Felt very safe. Lots of public transit around. Friendly staff. Great value. Highly recommend. Would choose again especially if trying to save money. "

"Our room was clean and comfortable, staff was very helpful and friendly, and overall we enjoyed our stay. I wish parking had been available in the Marriott building. By the time of our arrival, the garage was full. We did not want the added expense of valet, but luckily we were able to park next door at the Embassy Suites. Had the weather been bad, this would have been a bigger inconvenience, but it was just cool/no rain, so we were fine. Maybe just keep that in mind if you have small children, a mobility issue, or lots of stuff. Also the pool requires 2 different elevators to access with an exit and switch on the main public floor. I enjoy a few laps while my kiddos play, and it’s a tad embarrassing to look like a drowned rat in the same space as the well appointed lounge and bar. I would definitely stay here again, though. "
