Riverfront House, Sleeps 10, at Wildcat Shoals Boat Ramp, Excellent Bank Fishing

The Sugar Magnolia River House Cabin is a privately owned home located in a quiet area of the Renowned White River. It is located right next to our other property the Trout House Cabin. A relaxing atmosphere where you can catch a trophy trout wading in the backyard. Relax with either our inside all glass living room or one of our several porches with a fantastic view of the White River. Walk out onto a large deck that surrounds the front of the house to watch a trout jump or a bald eagle fly by. Enjoy your evening in our large outdoor kitchen with picnic table and fire pit. The property is so accessible your fishing guide can meet you steps away at the boat ramp or even swing you by mid day to swap out who fishes - we find this very convenient for children and wives! The White River is the Trout Capital of the World and is famous for Rainbow, Brown, Cutthroat and Brook Trout fishing 12 months a year. We are within walking distance of Wildcat Shoals one of the best fly fishing areas on the White River. This cabin has a large front yard on the river side with ample fishing space and large back yard with picnic tables, grills, fire pit for campfire, and plenty of parking if you bring your boat. A great place for kids to play when not fishing or swimming. We are centrally located for many activities and within driving distance of Blanchard Springs Caverns, Silver Dollar City, Branson, Missouri, the National Buffalo River, Crooked Creek, Norfork Tailwater, Dry Run Creek, Bull Shoals Lake, Norfork Lake and historical Eureka Springs, Arkansas.

We stayed for six days and don't think we could have found a better home. While the fish didn't bite that well the abundance of wildlife was enjoyed.Rented a river boat half mile down the road and a pontoon boat for the lake.

Spent the weekend in Cotter for a race event and the house on the River was perfect. Had everything we needed, beds were very comfortable and the view of the river from the family room spectacular. House was very comfortable for 4 adults and could have held more. Would gladly go back.

Great location for fishing the White River. Walk out the back door to some of the best trout fishing. If you’re going out with a guide they can meet you at the boat ramp which is a two minute walk. House is comfortable and the full view of the river from the living room was great. Kitchen is fully stocked to cook every meal.

Chase was awesome to work with. The house location was perfect location for fishing, visiting family close by and riding our trike on our favorite Arkansas routes. We loved the size and layout of the kitchen, dining and living rooms. Also there was plenty of seating in the livingroom area with an awesome view of the river. We also loved the large kitchen with lots of counter space, 2 sinks and room for making meals together. Cant wait to book our next stay.

We rent houses on the white river ar least 5 times a year. Sugar Magnolia is at the top of our list for future rentals. The Priests are extremely thougtful as home owners. River location is the best that we've found for fishing/wading access. We caught upwards of 60 trout, in a half mile stretch, over a 2 day period. House is more rhan accommodating for an

Excellent location. The river level was going up and down a lot, I suppose because the dam needed to generate electricity. There was plenty of everything in the condo with the exception of air circulating in the bedroom past the laundry but otherwise the condo was very comfortable. The people who slept in the bedroom past the laundry got warm but then rearranged the fans to circulate the air from the vents. It could use some vents if not a window unit (but I do not remember a window!) Otherwise the stay was great and everyone was pleased with the accomodations and it would have gotten 5 stars in my book because everyone had a good time. Getting in and out was very easy and it was very quiet. Pretty setting and both the recommendations for boat rentals and places to eat were very good. We would come back but in the fall or spring so we could enjoy the outside decks and outside kitchen.

What a special place! This was our first time to this part of the White River and we were absolutely blown away by the beauty of the location and quality of the accommodations. Chase is a phenomenal host and provided so many great recommendations that we'll need a return trip to try them all! He really goes above and beyond to ensure everything about your visit is taken care of in advance and you're able to enjoy your time on the river. He connected us to an excellent guide service for our first day and fishing around wildcat shoals behind the house produced each day we were there. Beds were extremely comfortable and the kitchen has everything you need to prepare your own meals (restaurants are about a 20-30min drive). Can't beat the view from the living room. Large windows overlooking the river were great for a morning cup of coffee and to watch the fog reveal the water as the sun came up. Boat ramp is a quick walk but far enough away not to disturb. It was super convenient to have the house close enough to grab a snack or swap out gear and get right back on the water while fishing the shoals. Highly recommend booking this place (unless it's same week we want to do a return trip)!! Thank you, Chase!

We recently stayed at this property with the intention of exploring the nearby areas. One notable feature is its proximity to the public boat launch. For those keen on fishing, this might be a bonus. However, for travelers like us, who had driven for 10 hours and hoped to sleep in a bit, the early morning boat launches were a disturbance due to the noise of the boat motors. Our main concern was the cleanliness and condition of the home. Upon arrival, we noticed a persistent mildew smell. Additionally, the rug in the master bedroom felt damp to the touch. To our surprise, the house was also inundated with deer flies. This resulted in both our 5-year-old and 1-year-old waking up with bites on their faces and legs. Throughout our stay, we found ourselves having to eliminate numerous flies. Arrival at the property was somewhat challenging, as the exterior lights were all turned off, making both identification of the house and access to the keypad difficult. Inside, we found the light switch configurations to be non-intuitive, and several lamps were out of service due to burned-out bulbs. We also felt the artwork in the room with the bunk beds was not particularly child-friendly. To sum up, while this property might be suitable for those on a fishing trip, we believe those seeking a comfortable and serene stay might want to consider other options.
