Hot Tub|Views|Outdoor Shower|Walk to Wine, Food

Summary:
Gorgeous in every season, this 2 bedroom, 2 bath historic cabin backs to wilderness and has amazing views of the surrounding mountain peaks. Located on the base of Pikes Peak, Hidden Falls Cabin is just 10 minutes from Colorado Springs but it feels like a world away. Take in the views of surrounding forest and rock formations from your morning soak in the hot tub or under the outdoor shower. The cabin is an ideal destination for a restful retreat, a romantic getaway, and adventure hub.

The Space:
Hidden Falls Cabin, with a nearly hundred-year history, is tucked away in the beautiful Cascade canyon. Our family lovingly updated the cabin to keep its original character and the evidence of its story, while adding comfort, convenience, and a little boho flair. The result is a beautiful, one-of-a-kind mixture of modern mountain luxury and rustic charm. The cabin is perched on a beautiful hillside at the edge of a quiet, residential neighborhood and is walkable to food, wine, & more! Not to mention incredible hiking out the front door!

OUTDOOR SPACES
+ The upstairs deck is private with an ample sitting area, two hammocks, and two loungers. You will barely be able to see another house as you sit and take in the amazing views and listen to the sounds of the seasonally running creek just down the hill. Enjoy a glass of wine in the hot tub after a day of adventuring up Pikes Peak or on one of the many hikes in the area. In winter, there is nothing as wonderful as a hot tub sit while fluffy snow falls on your head. The outdoor rain shower (seasonally available from early/mid May to early/mid October) has both hot and cold water available, looks out to the wilderness behind the cabin, and is a most invigorating experience! Also it makes a great cold plunge!

+ Outdoor dining for 6 is located on the patio just outside the lower level kitchen and dining area. Incredible views of the surrounding mountain tops. Gas grill and grilling tools provided.

LOWER LEVEL | KITCHEN & DINING
+ On the lower of the 3 stories, you'll find the kitchen/dining room which is fully stocked with everything you need to cook and serve a beautiful meal. Stainless steel appliances, a gas stove, granite countertops and a fully-functional wood burning stove for heat and plenty of coat hooks to dry off those winter clothes after your adventures outside. Feel free to use any available spices and oils. We provide several coffee options, including a Keurig (upstairs in the sunroom), a french press, a grinder and a traditional coffee maker.

+Tucked off the kitchen, the laundry is also available for use. Laundry detergent and dryer sheets provided.

MIDDLE LEVEL | BEDROOM, SUNROOM, LIVING ROOM, & 2 BATHS
+ Luxurious king bedroom with large picture windows and incredible views. USB outlets located at each nightstand. Original his and hers closets. Please keep in mind there is not an attached bath.

+ Large open living room with a beautiful EPA-approved wood burning insert for warm, cozy, and safe enjoyment of a crackling fire. Masonry is original to the house. Plenty of blankets for cozy nights in the sky chair or leather sectional with a cup of tea and a good book or movie. Wood is provided.

In the cupboard behind the sectional you'll find a variety of games, puzzles, and books for warm, restful fun in front of the fire. Stream entertainment on the nice-sized TV with Roku. A surge-protected USB charger and power outlet are available behind the TV.

+ The bathroom at the top of the stairs features a beautiful claw-foot tub for your soaking delight and a stunning stained-glass window original to the house. Open the window for a view of the rocky peaks from the tub.

+ The second bath features a shower and views of the mountains and deck if you choose to keep the blinds open.

+ The sunroom's splendor is its enormous picture windows and oversized pillows. Together with the queen-sized daybed and vintage swivel rocking chair, this room boasts breathtaking views. In the summer, leave the door open and enjoy the sounds of the creek. On snowy days, wrap up in a warm blanket and watch the snow fall. If you prefer to sleep in such a dramatic space, turn the daybed mattress over to its memory-foam side for a wonderful night's rest. All the bedding you need is in the drawers beneath the daybed. We've also tucked a Keurig and a selection of hot tea in the room so that you can enjoy a hot bevie without even going downstairs.

UPPER LEVEL | LOFT BEDROOM
+ The rustic loft bedroom has a comfortable queen bed, a convertible sofa and a small desk for laptop work, writing and creating with the perfect peek-a-boo window with views of the surrounding mountain tops. Keep in mind the loft is above the living room and doesn't have a door, so it offers visual privacy from other members of your party who may be seated in the living room, but not much noise barrier. The south-facing window looks to the house next door. There is also private access to a trail that will lead you straight to the hot tub and outdoor shower.

Guest Access:
Guests have access to the entire property except 2 locked closets.

The Neighborhood:
Hidden Falls Cabin is located in a peaceful, full-time residential neighborhood in Cascade canyon. There are neighbors to the front and the sides, but we back to pure wilderness. Please honor the peace of our beautiful canyon by respecting quiet hours (starting at 10pm).

There is a park, a creek, and several trails in the neighborhood. Enjoy a wine tasting and dinner by the creek at local favorite restaurant, The Wines of Colorado, just a quick walk down the street. Our family loves to walk there on snowy nights to eat by the warm fire! In the summer, there is an ice cream/coffee walk-up window a short distance away! The entrance to the Pikes Peak highway is just a mile away from the cabin. You can be eating lunch at the brand-new Summit House in less than an hour!

Getting Around:
Fabulous location with easy access to both Woodland Park and Colorado Springs/Manitou Springs.

Cascade has a thriving local scene for a sleepy mountain town. Not only are there parks, a rock shop, a pickle shop, and restaurants within walking distance, but you can also enjoy the night life at the Blue Moose in Green Mountain Falls, accessible without even getting on the highway. We have provided a guide book at the cabin with all of our favorite recommendations.

Walmart and Natural Grocers in Woodland Park is 10 minutes west of us on hwy 24. Woodland Park is a wonderful mountain town with several groceries stores, gas stations and restaurants. It also has a public indoor pool with lazy river and lap lanes.

The shops, attractions, and restaurants of Manitou Springs are 10 minutes east of us on hwy 24. Drive 5 minutes more and you're in Colorado Springs to enjoy Garden of the Gods, Cheyenne Mountain Zoo, the Air Force Academy, the new Olympic Museum and all the fun and delicious new restaurants.

If you're looking to venture further into the Rockies for day-trip adventures, there are hikes, world-class fly-fishing, lakes for paddle-boarding, state-parks, and the casinos of Cripple Creek all within an hour's drive!

Honeymoon trip
We absolutely loved everything about this place! It was fairly easy to find, it was super cozy and cute! The host was so kind! Such a great place to stay! Only thing is to make sure you have 4WD or AWD, especially when it’s snowy/icy. Overall such a great stay!

Fantastic Getaway (15-20min from EVERYTHING)
Words can’t even begin to describe how wonderful of a cabin and location this is to stay at!! For our 10 year wedding anniversary me and my husband spent a week nestled up in the mountains here. The location of this cabin to all of the sites and activities that Colorado Springs has to offer is by far the best benefit, along with the stunning views from the cabins sun room, deck and hot tub! We took advice from our host and had our first dinner down at the sweet little restaurant on the creek. To sit and listen to the water run downstream while eating was the perfect start to our trip and so relaxing!!! Check-in and checkout process were extremely easy and we had all the comforts of home we needed for a perfect stay. We can’t wait to bring our family back with us and enjoy a whole new experience!! If you’re looking for the perfect getaway in the mountains be it for a romantic trip or a family friendly experience; this is your cabin!!! Thanks for such a memorable trip! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Amazing
Hidden Falls surpassed our expectations. The cabin was absolutely breathtaking. I loved that the kitchen was on the ground floor. It allowed for me to get up early each morning and make coffee while having some alone time while my husband and daughter slept in. The kitchen was fully stocked with dishes, cookware, and everything needed to cook at the cabin including storage for leftovers and foil/plastic wrap for larger dishes to be put in the fridge. The dining area had a large table that made doing puzzles, playing games, and eating very easy. The second level housed a beautiful family space to include a large leather couch, games and puzzles, and a TV with Roku. They had warm and fuzzy/soft blankets with plenty of pillow. The hammock swing chair was awesome and relaxing. I loved the battery operated candles over the fireplace. Extremely cozy. The bathroom with the tub was very relaxing after a long day of hiking. Water was very warm. The smaller bathroom housed a large shower with ample room as well. The master bedroom with king bed was very comfortable and had an abundance of closet space. As for the sunlight reading room…I just couldn’t get enough of this room. It was a great room for reading, relaxing, and taking in the scenery. I loved that this room was stocked with coffee mugs and a coffee maker for convenience. This room was my absolute favorite. It was amazing to wake up and see the mountains each morning. We enjoyed many nights as a family watching our favorite movies and shows in the living area and spending time together. We did not use or need the third level but we did take a tour up there. The space is well equipped with a queen bed, futon, and desk. The door leading to the outside bridge was especially neat. Would’ve been great if additional guest were with us and wanted privacy. Now for the patio…This was my second favorite space. Plenty of sitting room and a wonderful hot tub. It was clean and very well kept. The patio offered an amazing view of the mountains and lots of privacy. I just don’t feel as though I can say enough good things about Hidden Falls. As for the Stay Colorado Team, they were extremely hospitable and friendly. They checked on us several times throughout our stay to make sure everything was going great. They were responsive and answered all questions throughout our stay. They even had delicious cookies at the cabin on arrival. I highly recommend their cabin at Hidden Falls!

Rustic Secluded Get Away
This cabin is close to everything by car, very rustic (not for anyone who can't climb stairs), beautifully updated. I'd love a cushy chair in the kitchen too! Lots of room for everyone to relax and enjoy the quiet solitude. Extra plus includes tea selection, toiletries and the softest towels!
