Stay was great and cabin was peaceful. Bathroom on the first floor needs better water pressure and washer/dryer would be helpful bc closest laundromat is about 20 minutes away. But hosts were wonderful.
We had a very comfortable stay at the cabin. Quiet, beautiful location. The hosts were very helpful and thought of all the details. Highly recommend and hope to visit again!
This cozy cabin was one of the best VRBOs we have stayed at. The hosts were most gracious and came to meet us even in the rain. The cascade stream was amazing! I would definitely come back!! The welcome basket was so needed for the kids and they had everything there that we forgot! The guest house was also amazing and worked great for my 18 year old!
This cabin provided age-appropriate activities and lodging for family members ranging in age from one year to 90. The nearby hiking trail and playground were within walking distance. The creek (~6-12 inches deep) provided an endless source of entertainment and soothing background music. The smaller cabin provided the perfect place for our oldest family member to be on-site, yet under their own roof. Both cabins are beautifully furnished. Everyone felt safe and secure on the property. The hosts were nearby and helpful yet not hovering. All in all, each one of our party of six would return without hesitation!
Our first major vacation with just my husband and 7.5 y/o son. We were so happy we chose your place to get more of a mountain / cabin in the woods feel! Colorado Springs was just a short drive down the highway and the views to/from the cabin were beautiful. Honestly we spent half of our time around Manitou Springs area as well which was even closer!
We appreciated the snacks, coffee for Keurig, and the board games!
We visited the Dwellings, Cave of the Winds, Garden of the Gods, Pikes Peak via Cog Railway, Seven Falls, Royal Gorge. Enjoyed Red Leg Brewery, Ivywild School for Food and Drinks, Coffee at the Loft, Mini-golf at Adventure Park, and Amy’s Donuts.
Only my husband brought hiking shoes but I wish we would’ve bought some to hit up the Heizer Trail behind the cabin! We conquered the Highway 24 Overlook Trail which would’ve been easier with hiking shoes but we survived. My son and I borrowed one of the walking sticks on the side of the cabin.
The creek in front of the house was very relaxing as well! We 100% would stay here again.
5 minutes after checking in, I thought this might be one of the best VRBOs we had ever stayed in which is saying a lot because we’ve been pretty happy with most of our rental houses and condos. By the end of the trip, I was absolutely convinced that this was by far the best. The space was perfect for our family of five plus my brother. It was clean, adorably decorated, and the little touches like the basket of snacks and the cozy robes were so nice. We had everything we needed and more. It’s not a huge house but somehow it’s so well thought out that we had no problem finding spaces to put our things and feel really comfortable…no need to live out of the suitcase. The location is beautiful…sitting on the spacious front porch and watching the creek was so relaxing. You can walk to a restaurant which has wine tasting and also a really nifty “rock shop” that had fun little things for everyone. There’s also some great hiking that my husband and brother tried out, right from the cabin. We were just a few minutes drive from the Cog Railway and the North Pole amusement park. It was not too far from the amazing zoo in Colorado Springs too. The hosts live next door and they came over to welcome us…they were so incredibly nice and friendly and we loved talking with them. We have more things we would like to do in Colorado Springs in the future (that whole area has so much to offer) and I can totally see us coming back to stay at this cabin!
Cheryl and Micheal were such accommodating hosts who made sure I was comfortable. The property was even more beautiful than the photos and the stream was so peaceful. I highly recommend staying here.
We loved our stay at this place! The owner was thoughtful and available if we ever ran into problems. The cabin and the guest house were immaculate and cozy. Lastly, the weather (we stayed in late July) was a wonderful reprieve from the summer heat, with night temps dropping into the low 50s. Five stars!
We LOVED this place. Photos can't do the stream justice. It is on the property and you can watch it run while sitting on the front deck, and it flows fast enough to provide beautiful white noise. Hosts were super friendly (and have great dogs we got to meet). Cascade is gorgeous, and there is so much to do within a 30 minute drive radius.
We absolutely loved everything about this home-Cheryl and Mike were amazing hosts who provided a wonderful space for our family’s visit. The extra touches-robes, snacks, games, books-just added to a spectacular cabin in a breathtaking location.
Fun enjoying attractions around Colorado Springs and then relaxing in the cabin at the end of the day. Great location by the creek. Hard not to relax on the front porch.
Was a wonderful place to relax with family. The park nearby was so nice for the kids to play. The cabin even had things to accommodate our baby. Everything we needed was here. Our favorite was the porch and just sitting and listening to the running water of the creek.
