"Ran by a wonderful couple who are really friendly and accommodating. The lodge is in a beautiful location and the facilities and room are lovely. Breakfast was included and we were asked beforehand what we wanted so it would be ready for the time we requested. And it tasted wonderful. Me and my girlfriend have visited here twice now and I'd greatly recommend a stay here."

"We enjoyed the feeling of history in the main hall. The food was good with generous portions. We will not return due to the number of stairs to access our room."

"Very disappointing, no hot water in bathroom sink no toilet lid no shower curtain or screen so water covered the floor badly had to mop up with towels. Big gap in front door at top . Stayed two nights and room was not cleaned so hence no clean towels. When we reported no hot water was told use kettle. Room was not cheap either. Breakfast was good and breakfast staff excellent. Would not go back sorry."

"Quaint rural pub in pretty village, close to a small market town of Clitheroe. Staff were lovely, the accommodation is stylish and good quality, Lots of parking safe for solo female travelers."
