Great home for hosting five adults. Spent the long weekend watching March Madness and the home was perfect. The owner was very accommodating and gracious.
Great home - the kids loved the layout and “secret passages”. Made for a great adventure and something new. The home is equipped with lots of linens and space for everyone (we had 6 adults, a teen, and two kids). Also, the host is super responsive. Thank you for letting us stay at your property.
I felt so relaxed and at home in the beautiful historic farm house. I was even inspired to cook a large Sunday brunch. Love the decor. Will definitely be back again soon!
Robert was a great host and made everything very easy. Check in and out was simple and the house was clean and as pictured. Robert was very accommodating with everything that was available at the house. Thank you!
I rented this house for a birthday party (murder mystery themed). It was the perfect house for this. The decor is awesome, the house is huge, and the owner is super friendly and accommodating. I had 22 guests so I was at first a little worried about space, but we didn't have any issues. The back yard is lovely as well. My guests and I got to see a lot of wildlife.
Robert was an excellent host. House was very well stocked and very clean. Felt just like home. More than enough room for us which was great. Enjoyed playing the piano. An "old' farmhouse was exactly what we wanted and we would definitely stay there again. Excellent neighborhood. Robert was very helpful and available if we needed anything. Don't hesitate to stay at the farmhouse because you will love it.
My friends and I were coming into town for the international cat show, so we had 8 cats with us that also needed a place to stay. The oldest house listed (this property) was the most understanding of the situation and they were more than happy to accommodate us. This property has feels like it's a lived in house that you are staying at while your uncle is out of town, but everything was clean and proper. If you are looking for a property that does not look lived in, I would skip this one. But if you want something cozy and inviting like a nice hidden cottage then this is the spot to go! Awesome communication and very accommodating to any changes we had. Thank you very much for letting us stay, if we come into town again we will be sure to book here!

Liked: Check-in, communication, location
Disliked: Cleanliness
Host was very good, but the accommodations were not.
The house is very cool if you love old houses, which we do. If you have very small children or older adults, I would not recommend this house. It is original with very steep & narrow staircases. I told the host that my husband couldn't go up the stairs because of his knee. He said he could sleep on the couch. (For 400 a night.) The bed downstairs is smaller than a twin and the rest are upstairs. There were big, black ants in the livingroom (including the couches where we were told we could sleep) and in the one bedroom downstairs. If you want to sleep in note there are no blinds and all sheer curtains. There was thick dust on the furniture & floors, the couches were filthy. Being an old house, the doors had gaps where they would not close tightly. There was tape coming off the door gaps, windows were cracked & the yard was a mess in the back. The kitchen had plenty of pans and dishes. The bathrooms were clean with plenty of towels and wash cloths. I realize it's an old house, but a thorough cleaning and organizing would really help. The host was very good and very responsive.
This a great property to stay at. Great location amongst great places to eat. All the while being just a short drive to an incredible park on Lake Erie's shores. Mr. Power was very helpful and welcoming. The home has plenty of places to sleep and nice outdoor features as well.
Everyone enjoyed this gem. The owner was very communicative and welcoming. We had his support to host a party of 30 people. Our guests enjoyed tours of this old home with comments like, “It’s a real fun house!”, “I wish I could live in a place like this.” “This seems like a house out of a novel.” There were slanted floors and unexpected hallways that made it an entertaining place to vacation
What a great place to stay! We had a fishing weekend with a Lake Erie charter and this location was perfect. The home is very interesting and has plenty of character for a historic property. We all slept comfortably and enjoyed our stay in the property.
We had a fabulous stay in this historic farmhouse. We needed several rooms and this set-up was perfect for us. We loved the history tour of the farm and enjoyed the fire pit in the evening.
Enjoyed sharing our stay with extended family. Lots of room to spread out. We all enjoyed seeing the deer at our back door every morning.
Host easy to reach with questions about the area. House has lot of character .....fun to explore.
We were looking forward to this stay, appreciating the opportunity to stay in a remarkable older home. As the owner describes, this is a delightfully quirky home that has been well loved for many generations. We enjoyed the stay a great deal, and would definitely go back. As a bonus, communication with the owner was excellent.
Rob was an awesome host. Lots of space, comfortable beds and the history of the farmhouse was amazing! We were able to have other family come over for a dinner after a funeral and it worked out great. Thank you!
This was the best place to play hide and seek with the tiny people and also a great place for our family get-togethers. Lots of space but cozy and warm too. Also plenty of blankets!! I was not made to feel like my dogs were a problem and we all felt very welcome in this home, hope to stay again
The farm house is very big. Plenty of rooms to get lost in. It was nice to see the deer and birds in the back yard. We would of enjoyed the outdoors more if it didn't rain everyday. The owners are very nice.
The architecture and decor is full of history and the owner was kind enough to give a tour to tell us about it. I also liked the owner is super friendly and easy to contact if needed. It has so many beds and rooms! I loved being allowed to bring all 3 of my dogs, 2 of which are large breed. The wildlife was fun to see and the location is close to so much stuff. The house is huge for the price.
This house is amazing. Very old, quirky, so much character. Rob was very nice and helpful. The listing does show a dog run which there wasn't. Personal opinion, a fenced area for pups would be awesome.
