"The Novotel in Clermont-Ferrand was conveniently just off the autoroute. Good protected parking and very efficient check-in. (And they are DOG FRIENDLY). Rooms are what you expect, although our room was way too warm and even we couldn't regulate the temperature satisfactorily. Not sure what was going on, but the thermostat was not responding. "Convenient hotel for a stopover traveling through France good car park. Staff were friendly and helpful. Evening meal was the best I had on the whole trip through France and Spain. I would describe it more as a Motel as reception was separate from the accommodation, the rooms were basic on of an open balcony there was a shutter to cover the window for privacy."

"The room appeared clean, however there was a smell of damp in the bathroom which spread into the other rooms. The furniture was quite tatty and really didn't fit the apartment. It just looked quite unloved and like it needed a redecoration.
