"My husband and I just returned from a two night stay on the Delta King and we absolutely cannot wait to return.
To break it down, staying on a 1920s paddle boat on the river with sea lions right across was so magical and romantic. Our room was clean, the mattress was actually very comfortable, which I'm pretty much a snob when it comes to mattresses. It had some small amenities, which was lovely. We did not get to use the restaurant or bar, but next time we absolutely will be dining for that epic view.
A big highlight of our trip was the front desk attendant Sharon, she was such a happy, delightful and funny person. I just loved talking with her, and she gave us some awesome recommendations that we took advantage of. We even hugged before we departed, I mean, she was truly a gem of a human and made our trip just that much more amazing.
Our room had a little fan, which helped give us some white noise to drown out a little bit of the sea lion noise but honestly, they weren't even that loud, we didn't even use the earplugs and we both slept a solid eight hours each night.
The location is amazing as well. We did Uber and didn't do the parking/valet situation, it definitely gets very very busy on Friday and Saturday nights in the area, but it's so lively and fun. Plenty of things to do right around there, we honestly can't wait to return. We're going to bring my in-laws the next time because it was such a great experience."
