"We were in Richmond for a college tour and this hotel was perfect for what we were looking for. The rooms are a great size and the staff was AMAZING. If our student commits to VCU, we will ALWAYS use this hotel!"

"We didn’t have breakfast, but the bar was great, and offered a pool table and stand up shuffle board that kept the kids occupied. Food was very good as well. "

"Easily one of the most genuinely charming and historic hotels that I have stayed in, and I’ve stayed in a lot. The rooms were huge, the ceilings high, and the mattresses newly replaced (the old ones were behind the building in an alley, waiting to be disposed). They were so comfortable we actually stripped the bed in our room to find out the make. Also, the people at the desk were very friendly and seemed to take a lot of pride in their property. "

"AC was terrible in first room I was assigned, but the very lovely evening manager (Alfreida) fixed the issue for me immediately and ensured I was taken care of. Will now be a regular, loved my stay. Only pray the construction will be over soon..."

"The original impression was a little off putting. The entrance was dirty and littered. The elevator in garage was not working and difficult to understand how to operate. It did not work like elevator I had ever used both in garage and hotel. The night staff ob arrival were wonderful and helpful. The staff member at check out in the morning was rude and not helpful. Not sure i would stay there again."
