"Extremely disappointed with our stay at La Jolla Cove Suites. We traveled to La Jolla to celebrate one of the most important milestones in our family’s life—our grandson’s graduation. Unfortunately, our experience at this property turned what should have been a joyful occasion into a frustrating and disappointing one. The room we were assigned was small, dirty, outdated, and felt much more like an old motel than a hotel. The furniture and accommodations were worn and in need of significant updating. It was certainly not what we expected based on the photos and price we paid. As senior citizens, we were especially upset that we were placed in a room on the interior side of the property that required excessive walking and navigating numerous stairs. No consideration seemed to be given to our age or mobility. The distance and number of stairs made it extremely difficult for us to get in and out of our room. In fact, the physical demands of accessing our room became such a challenge that we were unable to attend our grandson’s graduation events as planned. Missing such a special family occasion is something we can never get back, and it was heartbreaking. To make matters worse, other members of our family who stayed at the hotel and paid the exact same rate were assigned beautifully remodeled, modern rooms that looked nothing like ours. The difference in quality was astonishing and made us feel as though we had been given one of the worst rooms on the property despite paying the"

"I found 3 spiders in the room on three separate occassions. So i did not feel safe letting my baby sleep in the play yard as it was too close to the ground. The comforter had blood stain. The trolley service they said every 10-15 mins i waited 30 mins and i went back to the room to call front desk i called twice no answer. I started calling from my cell phone no answer. I wasted about an hour just trying to get in touch with someone to get a trolley to pick us up and then they try to blame me for not waiting at the trolley station when i had already been waiting there for 30+ mins. I have been to many resorts and hotels, never had issues as many as i did here. I understand no ones perfect but given the price these minor inconveniences are to be expected from lowerend hotels not a 4 star resort."

"Honestly, $45 for public parking is absurd. The resort is total chaos and the quality is pretty low. Rooms just feel and empty and there are hardly any lights on premises making walking around at night seem pretty unsafe. All in all, I’d pick another hotel that is not marketed as a resort for the purposes of squeezing fees out of people. I don’t intend on ever returning."
