So easy to come and go. Easy to fall asleep and comfortable beds. The lounge is welcoming and the hot tub was an absolute pleasure. The location was perfect as it was a short distance to literally everything and everywhere we went. The hosts were very friendly and easy to communicate with. You won’t regret staying here and you’ll long to return.
Nice and spacious, bed was comfortable and it had a well equipped kitchen, the walk into town is about 25 minutes mostly along the river, so very pleasant, off street parking is a bonus, we enjoyed our stay. Main negative is, there was a horrible damp smell, we discovered mid week, if we kept the bathroom door shut, it was a lot better
We arrived at around 7pm, host has open the light and tv and a water in the fridge make me feel welcoming. We love the spa pool and the house is described as it is. Very clear information and check in. Thanks for sharing the place.
the house is small but can fit in with my family. the host replied promptly and solved with all the enquires. only sad thing is the washing machine is too old the clothes left lots of powder after wash. overrall good .
Back door security could be better. Most bedroom windows could not be opened which meant little ventilation on hot days. Heat pump cooled lounge area only. Heavy decor beam above bed not very secure. Lots of neighbors. Otherwise good. Nice and central

Christchurch has a lot of beautiful places that we would highly recommend. Unfortunately this property is not one of those. The listing mentions the house has quirks that come with old age and mentions it is well maintained.Instead there’s cracks in the windows, the front right bedroom has a smell of mold in the corner and there are sharp edges in the bathroom due to that the floor is cracked and broken. The house is also noisy and not peaceful as mentioned in the listing and was dusty, couches annd seats are heavily stained and had other cleanliness issues. Finally there are a lot of abrupt changes in height in the floor of 1-2 inches heigh which really make the property not suitable for small kids that are running around which also is not mentioned in the listing at this time.We only ended up staying 1 of three nights and initial response of the property manager company was quick and open to looking for solutions. Unfortunately now 2 weeks later we are not getting responses on the communication anymore. Hopefully that will still change. But for now: go to Christchurch, but stay somewhere else!

Just Okay
This property was fine for a one night stay, but I would recommend finding somewhere better. The big draw for us was the hot tub/spa. But it was so dirty and the scum line was so thick that no one felt comfortable getting in. Additionally, the bathroom where the shower is was full of bugs and literal plants growing from the outside of the house in. Furthermore, we indicated that there would be 6 people on our reservation but there were only 4 towels provided. There was also not enough bedding for the uncomfortable pullout. The messaging with whoever manages the property was inconsistent and inconsiderate.
