"Sydney Central Hotel turned out to be a surprisingly lovely stay. I have to admit, after reading some reviews I was a little nervous, but we were fortunate enough to receive an upgrade to a larger room, which was a great start. The room was clean, and parts—especially the bathroom—looked recently renovated. It would’ve been nice to have wine glasses in the room, and as it was our anniversary (which the hotel was aware of), a small acknowledgment would have been appreciated, though it seems that may have slipped their mind. The main downside was that our room was located right outside the pool area, which did get noisy at times. We had a balcony, but we couldn’t really use it as people at the pool could look straight in. Aside from that, everything else was generally positive. We did use the pool once, it’s lovely and warm but it can get crowded due to its small size. Overall, a pleasant stay with just a few minor drawbacks. We will definitely return again."

"Check-in and concierge services were very friendly and helpful. We really liked the hotel and the suite. The only issue we encountered was the very inconsistent information regarding a late check-out. The day before our departure, we were told to ask again in the evening because the daily rate was not yet known. In the evening, we were then told that the hotel was fully booked and that we could only check out at 12 pm instead of 11 am. On the day of departure, we were once again informed that a late check-out was not possible. It was only when we spoke to a more experienced staff member that we learned a late check-out was in fact available for an extra charge. We happily paid this fee and were able to check out at 3 pm. This was very important for us as we were travelling with two small children and our flight to Europe was not scheduled until 10 pm. ⸻ "
