Honestly, our room was more expensive than what it's worth because there was a big concert in downtown Chicago and everything closer was easily more expensive or in really sketchy areas.
It is pretty rundown and need of a deep clean (it smelled like dust and mildew pretty much everywhere but in our room.)There's no appliances in the room, but the air conditioning worked really well, so there's that. We didn't encounter any roaches or bedbugs or anything, but there was visible mold in the shower and sink drain. The bathroom door was also completely off the bottom set of hinges, but the staff did offer to fix it! (We didn't care enough to have them do so haha)
The saving grace for this hotel was that it's right in the middle of Chinatown, and it felt like a pretty safe area. There's paid public parking lots and pay-to-park spots on the streets, but the area is walkable and there's buses and a train station less than a block over.
The staff was super nice, though! They have a ring camera at the front desk for outside of business hours in case no one's there. I needed more towels before the hotel was technically open, and I swear the guy had ran to get there so he could grab them for me.
Overall, I've definitely stayed at worse hotels, but they definitely were cheaper than this one haha.
I stayed at this hotel in Chinatown, and overall, it was a solid home base. The room and the bathroom were both surprisingly roomy, and there was plenty of hot water, which was great. The A/C worked all night perfectly, and the location felt safe and convenient—close enough to downtown that we walked there a couple of times (about a 60 minute walk).
However, the maintenance really stands out as a weak point. It’s not that the place is neglected, but it’s clear professionals haven't done the maintenance. They honestly need to bring in a pro team to handle upkeep and maintain the facility's value. There was also a cigarette smell in some of the hallways from time to time, which wasn't ideal.
Comfort was okay for the price, but a little more professional attention improve the facility.

It was an older hotel, but maintained and clean. The heater in my room did not work, but the staff moved me to a different room immediately. Staff was nice and very helpful.
It's not a palace, but it's safe, clean and quiet. It's in Chinatown, a block and a half from the L stop. There are lots of restaurants and shops nearby.
Nothing fancy, but I'll be back. Very safe and cozy.

No frills hotel room with a reasonable price for Chicago and a great location to walk downtown. Also has parking very near for Chinatown at 18.99 for 24 hrs.
The staff was so nice and helpful for our whole stay , the room was spotless and comfy. And what a wonderful area of culture to stay in. Absolutely recommended to everybody.
Location easy for eating because in Chinatown.
Parking is very easy & free but must look sign.
Highly recommend it & I will come back again .

The room was clean as we entered and the shower all hot and clean. So the staff was great and helpful, although I did miss the the clue of ownership being in the small lobby at any time. But I understand that whats management is for. The time was spent minimal in room. I would go back and see family in the region.

Great location near CTA Red Line station. Fun neighborhood. Could use some sprucing up, lots of peeling paint. Great deal for being so close to downtown and McCormick Place. No amenities, but there are properties going for 3-4 times the daily rate if that's important for your stay.

Great location. Cheap room. We knew the room would be small. We wanted a clean place to sleep near Chinatown. This place is a block from the subway (L) station. It’s right off one of the main shopping streets in old Chinatown. It’s in an old building which was less clean than I would have liked but not dirty. Linens were clean. It was pretty quiet. We will definitely stay here the next time we are in Chicago.
Easy access to downtown and Chinatown. The hotel was lovely and if you grew up in these kind of communities you’ll be a ok. However don’t go in expecting a standard hotel experience! There were certainly stains on the wall and perhaps mold in the showers. But the bed was soft and the location great and the front desk staff lovely.

Fine for the price.
This is a place totally in flux. For what I paid. Amazing location. It was a fine room. But super budget. My room was cleanish but the sheets were tattered, the bathroom was rough, but this is definitely a property where they are making an effort. Excited to see the future for them.
