The hotel was amazing. But the staff was even more so. The breakfast buffet was great and had a lot of variety. We will Certainly stay here again.

Property is beautiful- though our room air conditioner would not work properly so it was hot when we slept. The beds were very thin mattresses so were pretty uncomfortable but the service and staff at the resort were excellent.

Absolutely loved this hotel

We absolutely loved Smile Lana. The beds were beyond comfortable and the room and hotel was very clean. We absolutely loved the morning breakfast and enjoyed all the perks included in your stay. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Good location, accessible to most famous area and not far from airport. Staff is very attentive, friendly and polite. Room is large and clean. Breakfast is superb!!! I would highly recommend this hotel and will definitely return.

Outstanding hotel and hospitality. The staff could not have been more helpful or accomodating. We really enjoyed the pool area, coffee bar, breakfast, view from the room. Would recommend to anyone looking for amazing Thai hospitality.

We stayed at the hotel during the holiday season. They had a free street fair with free food and massages. the staff was very accommodating. The breakfast was amazing. A great place to stay in Chang Mai. Convent location within walking distance to the old city.

Good location for the Old City. Friendly polite staff, clean hotel and great pool. Free activities for guests to do in the mornings. Happy hour every day at the bar, which is local juices and fruit. No alcohol served at property as it is a well being kind of vibe hotel but free to bring in your own. Would stay again .

Amazing stay! The loveliest staff we’ve ever come across. The best place we stayed in Thailand & we didn’t want to leave. We were there with our baby & all the staff were amazing with him & the staff went above and beyond to entertain him during breakfast times for us. A very peaceful location a short walk from the old town. Room was very clean & they even put some freebies in the minibar for you every day. Overall 10/10 & we hope we can come back one day.

Nicest property we stayed at over a month's traveling. Quiet and lovely gardens but just across the road from the moat enclosing the old city, opposite a city park. Very walkable and red-pickup taxi cabs available to hail on the street. Super clean, nice pool, we had dinner there and it was very good. It is a "dry" hotel so just buy a few beers at the nearby 7-11 and put then in your minibar to enjoy at your leisure. We even had free snacks and pop that were replenished in our superior room. Very clean, quiet and good internet. Great pool and gardens and walking distance to most sites - would certainly return next time in Chiang Mai.

The Smile Lanna served as a good resting point in Chiang Mai. There are no shortage of hotels in the area, but this one provides a nice, slow pace. The breakfast was exceptional, but dinner and the in-room dining options were...standard. Two things that stand out about this property: (1) THEY DO NOT SERVE ANY ALCOHOL ON SITE. Just something to be aware of. (2) It seems as if everywhere you look, there's a sign telling you that you can't do something. Remove some of the signs and tell customers upon check-in your expectations versus having 'no-no' plaques all over the property.
