"The location is a bit further from the beach than I expected, but thats because I didn't realize there are 2 Howard Johnsons in Virginia Beach. There were a few minor maintenance issues, but overall we were pleased. It was clean and comfortable! The staff was friendly and we appreciated the complimentary coffee, juice and breakfast snacks. Given the moderate price, I'd give a thumbs up and would book again. "

The suites are nice and spacious with its very own standalone bedrooms. All rooms are ocean front for the perfect view of the mornings. "We booked here last minute due to some mix up in reservations but for a last minute spot it was great. It is right on the board walk, making it easy access. Owners were great and attentive to any and all needs! I will say the bathroom could be a bit cleaner but overall we would book here again !! "
