Our “room” was like a whole apartment, the bedroom, living room and bathroom were all separated compared to a lot of hotels we would stay at. Our stay that we paid for also came with the free breakfast buffet. The staff was also very friendly. We did takeout a couple times and a robot would come deliver to our room."

"The location is fantastic. It’s within walking distance to Chunxi Road and Taikoo Li, surrounded by local restaurants and snacks. Our room was spacious and tidy with large floor-to-ceiling windows offering a nice city view. The bed was comfortable, and the bathroom featured dry and wet separation. The staff at reception are friendly and check-in was smooth. There are plenty of amenities: daily breakfast, fitness center, self-service laundry room. Crowne Plaza Chengdu City Center by IHG

8/10 Good
"One word to sum up my impression of this establishment - OLD…! Yep, for a Crowne Plaza it’s screaming in need of a major renovation, probably the most rundown IHG property I’ve ever experienced… Overall, room is spacious, hotel scale is grand, its location is centralized although walk to metro station is not most ideal when it rains… But condition is definitely dated and deteriorating, carpet is stained and musty, fixtures are rusty and loose or falling apart. Alas the overwhelming perfume smell that envelopes the lobby when you enter the hotel… Too strong I feel, smell like some strangely pungent floral perfume scent, as if to mask off the aging property. Lastly seems like I’ve no luck with swimming pools this year… My first time back in China after more than 20 years, indoor pool at B2, gentle reminder for foreigners like me it’s mandatory to wear swim cap at public pools in China."
