Lovely stay

Really nice stay in excellent house. Ideal location, 10 minute walk from centre of Bourton-on-the-water. Lovely big kitchen/dining area and excellent living room. House is well spaced allowing large groups but also privacy with some en-suites and a 2nd floor. Good utility room and garden was nice even if it was a bit chilly to use it in March. Would definitely stay again.

Overall we had a great stay. The location of the property was ideal for walking into the village.

Ideal location for village and surrounding areas. What we had was very good but inside and out would benefit from some tlc. Garden needed some attention and a coat of paint would not go amiss.

Location And Facilities Fantastic.

10 of us all enjoyed a wonderful week here. Superb for a large group with plenty of space for all ages. We particularly enjoyed table tennis in the games room.

Easter Family break

The Property location was excellent and a short walk from all that Bourton has to offer. We had a great time with our family and the facilities at the property were excellent. The only negative was a few dusty areas inside.

The location was spot on a short walk into the village and short drives to adjacent Cotswolds locations We had to contact Sammi the housekeeper a couple of times and she was extremely helpful I fully recommend the company and house and would definitely return

Thanksgiving family get together

The property was great for our requirements with large lounge and large table in kitchen/diner so that all 10 adults could get round for our family meals prepared and cooked in the well appointed kitchen. We had a great time and hopefully will be able to go back next year.

Perfect property for large group

There were 9 adults and the property was just ideal for our needs. A separate snug was lovely for those that wanted to get away from the TV and relax reading a book. Rooms were spacious and the kitchen was superbly stocked with everything you could possibly need.

Fabulous cottage in a fabulous location!

Really enjoyable stay in a fabulous cottage which was spacious (there was 11 of us), immaculate and warm. Very well equipped kitchen, kids loved the snug and games cupboard, as well as the table tennis in the garage! Bourton on the Water has a lot to offer, pubs, cafes, shops and tourist attractions. We had a great time, loved the house, and hope to return!!

Another great long weekend

We have stayed here before and booked again as has 6 bedrooms and so convenient to walk to Bourton on the Water. Spotlessly clean and really comfortable for myself and my 5 friends. Off road parking for our 4 cars which is great too. Would definitely recommend.

Lovely cottage in a beautiful location

Millstone Cottage is a lovely property just a short walk from the busy centre of Bourton on the Water. It was spotless on arrival and provided very ideal accommodation for our group. The bedrooms were spacious and comfortable as was the lounge. The kitchen was very well equipped, providing everything we needed for our stay. I would definitely recommend this property.

Wonderful location

We loved the house for our family holiday . Well equipped & comfortable . Its location is perfect for a morning walk around the village with the dogs then popping in at the bakery on the water for pastries & coffee. The facilities at the house were excellent . My husband made bread twice & we enjoyed relaxing with our family in the large lounge with the log burner . Perfect for my birthday celebrations .

Excellent accomodation for a special family wend

A most enjoyable wend stay at Milestone Cottage for my Dad's 80th birthday. The house in terms of location, accomodation and facilities were superb. Plenty of parking space for our cars. Kitchen was very well stocked with everything you could need. Enjoyed the open fire in the evening. Would recommend.

Excellent base for our family of 11 + dog (delighted owners happy for us to take dog) Millstone Cottage is ideally situated for a Cotswold stay. Six well appointed bedrooms, lovely large kitchen-diner. And a lovely snug/games room for adults or kids, depending on who takes ownership first We’d definitely return.

A great house to stay at

We found the house well decorated (it was Christmas), spacious and well set out. All the bedrooms were very well attended. The kitchen had most of the things you need and sharp knives plus space, for when there is more than one cook. The snug was a hit with our grandsons, as they could escape the adults. The surprise was how crowded the village itself was. We had heard it was popular but we expected that to be more for warmer months. Talking to locals quickly dispelled that myth, plus all the people there. Be prepared to queue for most things, including the bridge, and you have to book the restaurants. Did we all like the house, yes. Would we stay there again, no sure.

What a gem

We were delighted with Millstone Cottage. Its comfort, facilities and equipment were excellent. Everything had been thought off to make a great stay, and the owners were very helpful. The location was also ideal, very close to the centre of the village, and with a pub on the way! Added to this, the value for money for a large six bedroom property was a beyond expectations. We would definitely return to this excellent house in possibly the most beautiful village in the UK.

80th birthday stay with family

This is a lovely house, well presented and well equiped. Easy to operate range lovely social kitchen. Bathrooms and showers a-plenty and good quality. Great amount of information regarding restaurants etc. We were a mixed age group children loved the table tennis in the garage. Most of all it's proximity to town. Lovely break, thanks for the cake !!!

Ideal for family gatherings

After a certain age a comfortable bed gets to be very important and everyone slept well at Millstone Cottage so no one was cranky at breakfast. The kids loved the ping pong table, the dog loved the garden, the family enjoyed the variety of spaces available from communal kitchen meals to quiet snug getaways. A few of the amenities need a bit of tlc - mostly wear and tear on bathroom fittings, the oven does need replacing though. Overall I'd say it was 4.5 stars up to 5 once the maintenance is done.

Family gathering

We had a great stay, cottage was perfect and the location suited us really well. however the grass was really long which stopped us being able to use the garden for any games etc. Also when we arrived the recycling bins were full up from the previous guests which made it difficult for us to place any of our recycling there. One of the sofa legs (2 seater chair) were broken. Cottage was extremely well equipped and we really appreciated the early check in .

6 Guests + Great location, close to walk into Bourton-on-the-Water village, yet far enough away not to be effected by noise. + Large kitchen/dining room and lounge + Wi-Fi (available throughout the property) Audio and TV facilities. + All bathrooms of a good size + Garden was a generous size and due to hedges/trees etc. it felt quite private and not overlooked by neighbours. Plenty of outside seating. - Driveway is suitable for 2 medium sized vehicles to then enable accessible entry to and exit from. - Lack of wardrobe space. - Oven door seal/catch needs replacing as worn and so didn’t close fully.

3rd visit

The property is in an amazing location got the village and surrounding area. This was our 3rd visit to Millstone. Sadly we have found on each visit the property has deteriorated and not maintained to a very good standard. Two of the bedrooms had black mould on the walls near the windows which looked like it had been there for some time. We found dirty plates and cutlery in the drawers and cupboards and general standards of cleaning to be low. The property needs a deep clean and freshening up. Sadly we will not be booking to stay there again.
