"Though easy to deal with, clean, and conveniently located, this unit had an awful bed. Sunken, creaky, cheap. It says there is a 2nd bed in a pullout, but the mattress of the pullout was so old the springs jut out and was extremely uncomfortable. There was no soap in the shower and the hand soap on the sink had clearly been diluted with water. The unit has a toaster oven but the thing smokes and will immediately set off the smoke alarm. For the price paid for 1 night I was expecting more"

"PEI was an excellent trip in an excellent hotel with unique people that i felt i am back to the Canada that i was remembering from 2008 when i was landed. There is an unique restaurant in this hotel called Red Water with great food selection and excellent quality and very unique staff. I am very much happy that i explored this city and stayed in this lovely hotel. Wish them the best luck and in here i am using this opportunity to thank them all, kyarash"

"The staff were so kind, and the room was surprisingly clean and pleasant. The temperature was perfect, air conditioning and view were a nice addition. The coffee and gift shop around the corner was really great. We travelled to Shining Waters, Sandspit, downtown Charlottetown and Victoria Park for concerts, so the location was a perfect for it. We had hoped the pool would be available but it was closed for maintenance. The kids enjoyed the amusement parks so much, and swam there, so it wasn't an issue. The complimentatry muffins and coffee in the morning were fresh and yummy!"

"I enjoyed my stay at the Rodd Charlottetown. The hotel itself is almost 100 years old and in pretty nice overall condition. That being said, there are a lot of nice areas of the hotel and also a lot of old and older tired areas. The location is second to none if you want to be near all the action of Charlottetown’s vibrant downtown. Overall my stay was satisfactory considering the price point."

"The suite was great for our family of 5. Breakfast was hot each morning and there was lots of space for guests to eat. The pool was very rowdy in the evenings so we didn’t use it much. A lot of children were there without parental supervision which was frustrating. The games room was great. My family enjoyed fooseball and the switch console provided by the hotel."

"We stayed here while traveling with our dog and chose a room with a kitchenette. After long days on the road, it’s really nice to arrive somewhere comfortable and relaxing, but unfortunately the room felt quite worn out. The kitchenette could use some attention. The stove was very old, and the microwave was old and extremely noisy. There were only two large plates, which isn’t enough if you’re offering a kitchen. There were no dishwashing supplies, and the sponge appeared to have been left behind by previous guests. The room itself also needs maintenance. The ceiling had many stains and uneven patches, the window screen had holes that were covered with tape, and the window would only close properly if someone pressed on it from outside. Outside, it would be great to have a few more tables where guests could sit and relax. A barbecue would also be a wonderful addition. On the positive side, the beds were comfortable, and the bedding and towels were clean. With a few updates and better-equipped kitchen facilities, this place could be much more enjoyable, especially for travelers who spend long hours driving and are looking forward to a comfortable place to rest."
