Popular dining spots in the neighborhood include Xiao Bao Biscuit, Fuel, Porchetta Shop, Southbound, R Kitchen, Chubby Fish and many more! Our guests and neighbors also rave about Welton's Tiny Bakeshop and Kudu Coffee. We recommend going to either for a cup of locally-roasted coffee or their delicious cookies and cakes. The house is only a short walk from the very popular King Street where you will find a multitude of great shops – including antique shops, book stores and fashion boutiques – as well as endless buzzing restaurants and bars.
Getting Around:
You can walk almost everywhere - but should you want to rest your feet, there are many other options for getting around: Uber, Lyft, Charleston Bike Taxi, Charleston Rickshaw, Green Taxi or Yellow Cab.
Other Things to Note:

This VRBO was perfect for a weekend getaway in Charleston! The location could not be anymore amazing. The VRBO was beautiful, clean, & spacious and the host is awesome with communication!
The penthouse pad is very nice. Bedrooms are large and beds are comfortable. Has all your needs ready for you.Only inconvenience is you have to park in a parking garage behind where you are staying and carry all your luggage and everything to and from the parking garage. Just wanted to mention that for anybody that has trouble getting around.
The apartment was well appointed, was roomy, and very clean. While it was centrally located, it provided an excellent place to rest and relax between outings.
we loved our stay here. very spacious 3rd floor loft with great balconies. super clean and comes with everything you need esp espresso & coffee! Lots of nearby restaurants and bars. it got noisy at night but the owners have white noise makers to block out the street noise. overall enjoyed the stay and would stay again.
Accurate description- super clean and perfect location. Hosts are reactive but easy to deal with. Premium price but premium space. Best in Charleston imo.
This penthouse is immaculate—spotlessly clean, stylishly decorated, and exactly as described. The location is fantastic, with many great restaurants and attractions just a short walk away. The host was incredibly accommodating and made us feel very welcome. Highly recommended!
We have stayed at a few VRBO places over the years. They have all been memorable. Some we’ve stayed at more than once. This one is at the top of the list. If we find ourselves back in Charleston, I will be looking to stay here again. It was a great location, clean, and spacious. It was super easy to communicate with the host and the concierge was very helpful and both were very responsive. 5 stars all the way around!
We had the best time! Our "homebase" was perfect placement for the restaurants and places we wanted to go. Could not have been better.Just loved the place itself. We'll be back!
This penthouse is spacious and comfortable and perfectly located just steps away from anything you would like to do in Charleston. We especially enjoyed Indaco, a contemporary Italian restaurant just a couple of doors down from our lodgings.
We enjoyed our stay in this beautiful new penthouse - an oasis in busy Charleston. The apartment is generous and stylishly decorated. Everything was clean and immaculate and David was an attentive and gracious host!
The place was fantastic and in a great location! Walking distance to many great restaurants and bars. The balcony was an excellent place to hang out and see all the things going on on King Street.
Check in process was seamless and the property manager was available and responded quickly.We will be back!
The property was better than expected. Online pictures didn’t do it justice. Fantastic location if you are looking to be in the heart of the shops and restaurant area. Only drawback for us was that since you are in the hear of things, it is very noisy until 2-3AM. By 4-5AM the street sweeper and garbage trucks are so pound there is no way you are sleeping. Great property to be in the heart of things. Maybe not good for young kids or anyone who values a good nights rest.
The apartment was exactly as described, and a great location a bit further north on King Street, but still well within walking distance. We were a 10 min. walk from the Farmers market and walked everywhere- we did Uber to the French quarter. I want to point out that there is noise from the street due to the cars and the nightlife that is noticeable. The owners have taken all the necessary steps to try and mitigate the noise by providing ear plugs sound machines in the bedrooms etc. this didn't bother us, as we were more about the location and would definitely stay here again. The management was very responsive each time I reached out prior to our stay.
We stayed 3 nights. The place was easy to find and the parking garage is very close. The communication with the host/property manager was great. Check-in instructions are easy to follow and gaining access was not an issue. The penthouse is very clean and decorated very well. The beds are comfortable and it was nice that each bedroom had its own bathroom. Having the small bathroom was nice as well. The kitchen is at the center of the penthouse and is large. All appliances worked and having the coffee amenities there was nice. The balconies are great to hangout in. It was cold while we were there so we did not get to enjoy them as much as we wanted but I guess we just need to come back when it is warmer. The location is great. We walked to almost everything. You have access to great restaurants and bars without needing a car. There were 4 of us in our group, two couples. This place is perfect for that type of getaway. If and when we come back, we would definitely stay here again.
Host checked in multiple times per day to ensure a smooth stay. Property was spacious and offered maximum comfort. Luggage transfer was a bit challenging but worth the hassle, given the quality and location of property.
Yourpad did an exellent job, responded right away to any questions I had, there were 0 problems with the Penthouse, weather was cold, next time we will use beautiful balconies to enjoy sunsets and city views, hope to be back soon!!
Was extremely impressed with the property. Accommodations were 10/10. Everything was better than expected and will definitely stay again next time we are in town!
