"This place is like a great fishing spot you don't want anyone to know about so you can keep it to yourself. Beautiful quiet and peaceful country setting. The house was sparkling clean, wall to wall, corner to corner. All new paint and trim. Two generous bathrooms that are brand new. Modern kitchen. The big yard and fire pit was fun. Games for the kids are supplied. We'll return!"

"My friends and I stayed over the weekend for an event in the area. Everything in the house is perfectly tuned for a visitors stay. I've stayed in numerous places before that are missing key items (silverware, toilet paper, blankets, etc.) and this place had it all. Would stay here again, I would love to stay here in the winter! We had 8 guests and paid extra but I do think it should be a little more clear that there are technically only though beds to sleep 6-7 depending on guests partners."

"The farmhouse is beautifully restored as the listing says. Tons is nice little touches and great overall ambiance. Kids (ages 9-17) loved the top floor kid pad. Adults enjoyed spacious bedrooms. Kitchen was well appointed. I took a morning run and very much enjoyed the countryside view. Love how remote it is! Would definitely book again."

"We attend a work conference at Gettysburg College each year. The dorms are so not good for older backs and hips lol. We decided to VRBO and I found the Rested Rooster property and couldn’t be happier! Communicating with Danielle was so easy. The beds were comfortable. The house was clean. Essentials to stay us out were there waiting for us AND the coffee was delicious! Check-in was simple as was check-out. We plan to make reservations to stay here again next year. I highly recommend this...

"This large farmhouse was so spacious and full of personality! Spotlessly clean and child friendly with magnificent views, all the details really enhanced our stay.
