"La Mezzaluna is a short walk from Barga Gallicano train station, and buses to Lucca. Rita is amazingly hospitable & welcoming, and did so much to make our stay enjoyable. Rooms are very nice, buffet breakfast set us up for the day.
There is a bus up to Barga during the day, and a taxi back in evening.If you visit Barga, this is the place to stay. "
"After a curious approach. The owner met us there and showed us around. It was a very quite, beautiful mountain apartment. Details outdoors were evident and comfort inside was great. This is just a peaceful beautiful place which capped of our italian tour perfectly. To return i would stay at least 3 nights. It is worth it. The area is stunning with many things to do"

"Where to begin!? The photos in the listing simply do not do this property justice. It is a truly magical location and I highly recommend it. We rented the entire place, for 20 people, to celebrate a birthday and each family, couple or single had their own private space/apartment, while still being part of the whole. It's charming and had all the amenities. There are several nearby villages to grab dinner or groceries, and Lucca is only an hour away. It's a bit of a hike to the marble quarries, or Cinque Terre but we did it. You must have a car or driver though, it's too remote to get to and from easily. The owners were delightful. We ended up booking breakfast everyday, as well as a pizza night and a final goodbye dinner with their chef. Everything was fantastic!! Make sure you get an e-sim (their wifi is fine too) before you arrive and load up google translate, as the owners only speak Italian. We will cherish our memories of our stay for years to come. "

"The description didn’t do the house justice! This beautiful house is perfect for large groups providing both social areas and privacy. The kitchen was well stocked, the outdoor grill and pizza oven were readily accessible with lots of available wood. Beautiful view from the outdoor area where we enjoyed dinner watching the sunset.Eleanora was incredibly helpful and quick to respond to all of our questions.We did find the drive up the mountain to be a bit challenging with the size of vehicle we had (large van for seven adults), but would highly recommend, especially if you’re not planning many day trips."

"What a find! We went as a large family group, so to have separate apartments for each individual family worked out perfectly for us. Their accommodation was well equipped immaculately clean and comfortable.Some of our part of a clean cyclist, so to any cyclist it’s an absolute Mecca, but you have to like hills! "
