"Lovely pub and hotel. Ideally located with lovely food and friendly staff. Although on a main road, the rooms are triple glazed and I didn’t hear a thing…..Road very quiet also at night. Would recommend."

"Could be outstanding but the kitchen lets them down. The location, hotel and staff are wonderful but the food is where the shine falls off. Decent menu but most of the food was bland, lacking taste or overly greasy (fish). Breakfast was wrong both mornings (even with simple request), kitchen needs to read the orders properly.. At the two dinners, both night people on tables around us were commenting on their food.. (which is such a shame for a lovely hotel..."

"Excellent location, staff were friendly and helpful, beds were very comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was ok. The steak was very over cooked and was like a frisbee. The duck was tough, the triple cooked chips were hot and delicious. The breakfast menu had a great selection and was very good."

"A large, comfortable and beautiful room with an immaculate bathroom, in a convenient location, for the price of a much more basic brand. Usual gripe that in a family room for 4, they only give you two of everything (cups, bath towels), and that the pub is expensive (£4.20 for a soft drink, £7 for a beer etc), so the savings are offset at dinner."
