Camino Real in Central Mexico

"Amazing experience here as a first-time traveler to CDMX. The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff, the clean rooms, the amazing amenities that we did not have time to explore all of! And the food, get the package with the breakfast buffet at La Fontana. Fresh, full of flavor, and delicious...the staff in the restaurant is top notch. Melissa, Miguel Angel, and Jose Luis are who to go to...they will take care of you like you are a member of the family. Easy to get an Uber to anywhere in the city (Frida Kahlo, Belle Artes, Templo Mayor) for $10-$20 USD. Safe and walkable area, close to the Monument to the Revolution and great restaurant options. Street vendors with handmade arts and crafts, and the FOOD!!!! Already planning my next visit! "

"The hotel is quite old, so there were many areas that needed fixing. For example, the room key was loose and did not work properly. If it is repaired well, I think it can continue to be a good hotel. The room was clean, and overall, it was decent."

"The Hotel is well located but there’s construction around it which causes lots of traffic to reach the hotel. Also there’s a nightclub on the street over facing the hotel and it’s very difficult to sleep , the music goes on until 5:00 am in the morning."

"The good: Location, English speaking staff, luggage storage, 1 PM check out, close to all attractions in city center and a ton of restaurants. On-site restaurant too. The bad: Location. The street closes suddenly from time time when there are civic protests and marches etc. Not the fault of the hotel. Then you walk a bit to catch a taxi etc. Of you get your room cleaned by staff during a multi-day stay, ensure that you got all towels, etc. as they check at the time of check out. We were a hand towel short. We explained that we never got it and they accepted our explanation. "

The restaurant was great and had a nice selection of dishes; the food was delicious with perfect portions, and the waitstaff provided excellent service. The room I stayed in was very comfortable, clean, and well-maintained at all times, and had a spectacular view of Chapultepec Park. I would definitely return to this hotel on my future visits to Mexico City."
