"We recently stayed at the Meritage to celebrate several special occasions. Before arrival, I reached out with a few simple requests, including staying closer to the kid pool and arranging dinner reservations, but unfortunately the communication and follow-through felt almost nonexistent. The room itself was good, and overall the hotel property is nice enough. But hospitality is more than just a room. What stood out most was the lack of attention, acknowledgment, or any sense that anyone genuinely cared about making the stay feel special especially after clearly communicating why the trip mattered to our family. No one is expecting red carpet treatment, but even basic correspondence or a simple acknowledgment would have gone a long way. Instead, the experience felt very transactional and indifferent. Honestly, the most disappointing part is feeling like this review probably won’t matter to them either."

"Nice place in a great location. Room was clean and comfortable. The grounds are lovely, a perfect place to eat the complimentary breakfast in the morning or have a beverage in the evening. Stayed here a couple of times and each time it’s been great. There’s no staff there after 8pm, but you can call the night person if needed. It hasn’t been an issue for us. Clean, safe, affordable, comfortable, and well located. Can’t go wrong!"

"So we've been looking for a place to stay in the wine country. We come down here occasionally for medical appointments. And just to enjoy the area, we had a little doggy. Which is very hard to find hotels? That'll take animals and everything is outrageously expensive. So Hampton inns is really simple. Nice rooms, quiet, good staff, decent breakfast. You know, in the morning and we'll stay there again"

He took the time to give us several great food recommendations, and every suggestion was spot on. It is rare to come across someone who is not only professional, but genuinely invested in making sure guests have the best experience possible. The hotel itself was very clean, quiet, and well-maintained, which made for a comfortable stay. More importantly, we felt incredibly safe during our visit. At one point, we accidentally left our room with the door lock engaged, which prevented the door from fully closing. We did not realize it until much later that evening after being gone for hours. To our surprise and relief, absolutely nothing had been disturbed or moved when we returned. That experience alone spoke volumes about the integrity of the staff, the security of the property, and the overall environment of the hotel. James deserves special recognition for his outstanding customer service and professionalism. Employees like him are the reason guests return. He went above and beyond, and his kindness and attention to detail truly made a lasting impression on us."
