Rustic 1 bedroom/1 bath home w/loft that sleeps 8. Near Shawnee National Forest

"Cabin was very clean. There was a basket of treats welcoming us when we entered the cabin, very thoughtful by the host. Cabin was nice and cool although it was quite hot outside-in the 90's. Beds were comfortable, our daughter enjoyed the loft. I liked the early mornings sitting on the back porch drinking my coffee, the back porch even has ceiling fans to keep one cool. It was way to hot(for us) to use the fire pit. All we had to supply was food, pots and pans, dishes and utensils, a good variety of spices, dish soap and laundry soap , and more, came supplied with the cabin. We liked the location, the small town close by had most of what we needed , but a larger town is but a 30-35 minute drive. The cabin exceeded our expectations. If we were to go back to that area we would check first to see if this cabin was available."

"The Roundhouse was perfect! Our family really enjoyed spending time here and loved all the amenities with the hot tub, fishing pond, yard games, etc. We would definitely recommend staying here for anyone travelling to Southern Illinois."

"The bungalow was a good efficiency space with an excellent kitchen appliances and everything you need to cook meals. My favorite time was to sit on the porch and watch the river flow. It was so relaxing. There were trails you could walk. I remember one evening, I was stressed and went for a walk. It was so quiet with nothing but birds chirping their songs. It was so nice to be in quiet space for a couple of days."

"Awesome property away from society but still within 30 minutes of everything we came for. Came on a motorcycle and the Driveway is a bit steep but had no problem. Place was clean and bed comfortable. Would stay again if back in the area!"

"Very clean. Very relaxing. Enjoyed going to the garden of the gods trails and hiking. Host was very responsive and friendly. My pets had the best time and I think it’s so awesome that they allow them. Location is beautiful. Will definitely be back"

"The house was very nice and accommodating for our large family gathering. Eric went over and above to make sure we had everything we needed. Plenty of beds and bathrooms for everyone. Kitchen was well equipped. We had some air conditioning problems, but the issue was handled very promptly. Eric is a great host!"
