Standard Suite - Bungalow overlooking the River

Relax on the bluffs of the Ohio River in the Shawnee National Forest. Take in nature at its best! 15 minutes to Garden of the Gods, Rim Rock, and Pounds Hollow, and only a little farther to Jackson Falls, Burden Falls, and Bell Smith Springs. Explore the Shawnee National Forest by day and relax each evening with a front-row seat to a river view and open sky.

Standard Suites are in duplex units with private entrance & shared back deck overlooking the Ohio River. Suite is complete with 2 queen beds, kitchenette with essentials, & full bath with tub/shower.

Pets are allowed with a nightly fee of $10! (be sure to 'add on' at check out)

We really enjoyed our stay! The property is extremely clean. The bungalow is somewhat dated but charming. We came for the view and it did not disappoint!! A very quiet, peaceful and relaxing property ❤️

Excellent little getaway!

The room was very clean and decently sized. There were a decent amount of small walking trails on the property and many longer ones nearby. The office manager was very informative and pleasant to talk to! We would definitely come back again.

Great place.

I love this cabin and the location. This is a beautiful spot on the river next to the woods. The cabin is clean and cozy and a great place if you’re looking for peace and quiet. I loved sitting out on the porch watching the river. The surroundings are beautiful, the grounds are well kept and very pretty. The beds were fantastic. Very comfortable. There were four of us and the cabin didn’t seem crowded at all. I definitely recommend this place for your visit to this beautiful area.

This property is ideal for a secluded getaway. It sits over 100 ft above the Ohio River with an astonishing view, yet nestled under shade trees, an outdoor fire pit, and stretches of hearing no sounds caused by humans (though their are other cabins there as well), just the cows in the distance, a heron flying overhead, owls and birds. My wife and I went to Garden of the Gods, and quaint towns in the area. We loved it!

I contacted the owner the night before my stay. She was so helpful and so kind. She gave me a lot of great tips about places to go visit and things to see while I was there. She left me a map and a note. She was so kind to talk with, I loved my time there. It was perfect.

Breathtaking view of the Ohio River!

I was looking for a place to stay to “get away from it all” and this was THE PERFECT place for me! It is a simple, VERY clean bungalow on the river! The decor is a tad dated, but the cleanliness is what was important, and they have taken great care there! My stay was geared around nature, and peacefulness. Thats just what I got! Bonus: Only 20min drive to Garden of the Gods, for hiking! Be sure to take what you need as far as food etc., the closest town with a small store and gas station was about 15min away, but it’s worth the visit. No doubt about it. I wil be back!

The cabin was very roomy & comfortable. The view of the river from back deck was great. It was a very peaceful trip. We enjoyed the trail at the end of road. The area was close to the places we went to see.

Solo getaway

I had an amazing stay! A quick little get away from all the Hussle and bustle of life, I stayed for 3 days. It was so quiet and peaceful, close to all the things I wanted to see. I went to go see Garden of the Gods. The property was clean and well kept, the trails on site were well kept and beautiful.

Beautiful Time

My husband and I had a great time at our San Damiano cabin. The view out the back porch is breathtaking. We hiked the amazing trail down all the way down to the Ohio River. Just lovely!

Cool Place

Everything was just as described, we enjoyed it very much. The river view is awesome, the Civil War cemetary was very interesting. A better TV antenna would be a great addition. It looks like you are about to fix up. The drive which will be a big plus. It was a nice, very easy stay. If you want detailed feedback you can contact me directly.

Over all the stay was good.

The room was clean enough except that there were many carpenter ants that we killed. The dishes had chips and cracks in them. Silverware needed to be cleaned before we could use them. The toilet seat needs to be replaced! In the bathroom corners a lot of spiders were building homes.
