"Modest and rustic is accurate with a great view. Chilly at the time of year we went and an old house doesn’t hold heat well. Well located in Tuscany and roomy enough for four of us. Ample parking. Windy conditions impacted wi-fi. Very close to town but far enough away to think you are well outside. Nothing stocked in kitchen so plan to bring your own. Oven was a convection oven so not very large. Tons of character and if you understand what you are getting it is a delightful experience. Mariala was a really accommodating host and booked a cooking class right there in the house based on her recommendation (she also coordinated it). "

"Marilia was a gem. She cooked us a delicious dinner the day we arrived. She arranged for a cooking class on site and connected us with a driver for our day trips. She went over and above to make our stay wonderful. The house was built in 1050 BC and was a treasure to stay in. Many features have been left when modernizing. The cellar is original and a great place to visit or eat while you are there. The views are spectacular. We cannot recommend this house enough!"

"This is a working winery and while the apartments are somewhat rustic and without air conditioning they provided much of the charm and experience that we were looking for during our stay in Tuscany. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the wines produced by the winery. Natalia and Roberta were especially friendly and helpful. We enjoyed the buffet dinner that was available on our first night that included delicious food and wines. We also took advantage of the daily breakfast since the location is somewhat remote. Alternatively, one could easily prepare their own breakfast in the apartment kitchen but we opted for the convenience. Although remote the property is conveniently located in the countryside about midway between Florence and Siena which were the two cities we planned to visit during our stay. There is a pool on the property and we did also enjoy a stroll into the vineyards one evening to watch the sunset. The reason for the lower rating with facilities is primarily around some plumbing inconvenience which was not confined to just our unit but was being appropriately addressed by the property and we did not experience any issues on our last couple of days. Overall, our experience was excellent and I would stay there again if I return to Tuscany."

"Pure Heaven! Villa Belsole far exceeded our expectations! Beginning and ending with our extremely gracious hosts, Enzo and Christina, who were so responsive and so helpful, the Villa easily and homily hosted our group of sixteen guests. The Villa is a sight to behold, perched on top of a hill with endless, and sensational, views of the Tuscan countryside. Stunning doesn’t begin to describe the setting. The lovely grounds and inviting pool punctuated the exterior of the Villa. Inside, the huge living area welcomed in the countryside with three floor to ceiling walls of glass and patio doors. Breathtaking! The extended dinner table easily seated our large group and served as the social center for eating, drinking, talking, and even making and rolling out pizza dough for the wood/fired pizza oven. The kitchen was spacious and had all the pots, pans, utensils and tools needed by us aspiring chefs. The bedrooms were spacious and well/appointed. The additional large living areas supported several poker games and endless billiards tournaments. In a word, our large group never felt crowded as the villa was so spacious and well laid out. Enzo and Christins arranged both an in-villa cooking class (which was awesome!) and a wine tasting (with lunch) at a local winery, and otherwise were excellent hosts!Overall, the experience rated s 10 and I would stay there again, even with a smaller group. "This was a beautiful location and the host Patrizia was friendly and responsive. The pool was refreshing and the view was outstanding. We had a 3 bedroom apartment in the main building and it was quite large and ideal for our grandson as apart from the main stairs it was mostly all one level so he could easily crawl around. Please note that basic amenities are not provided. You will need toilet paper, hand soap, dish soap, dish cloths etc. We arrived late so were a bit surprised to be without toilet paper but the host was very responsive and brought us some right away. We went out the next day and stocked up on things we needed and had a wonderful time there. It was one of our favourite places that we stayed and it felt very authentic. It is also walking distance to a wine tasting with lunch in a castle.
