"This is a place that has been designed to make you feel at home. The rooms are tastefully decorated with colorful fabrics and interesting decorations. The pub is dog and human friendly and is a popular spot for locals. Jack, the Bernese Mountain dog is regularly present as he belongs to Kenny, one of the owners. Kenny and staff have put together an eclectic playlist of songs that are ever present in the background but not so loud as to interfere with conversation. The entire staff works hard to make people feel at home. Requests for slight variances in the menu are invariably met with “of course we can do that”. The food is good and plentiful and the location is in a lovely sleepy village."

"My wife and I were pleasantly surprised just how nice the hotel was, the staff were really nice and the room very comfortable and cleaned daily, it's an old building so it's not like a modern hotel but adds to the character with oak beams, the only downside was no lift so as we were on the top floor it was a bit of a haul with the suitcases but the view of the market square was quaint. However the breakfast is amazing, choice of cerials, juices, milks, tea, coffee, pastries, muffins, breads butters, jams and a toaster plus an extensive cooked breakfast menu or they will cook you any combination The village of Masham is small but well situated to travel around Yorkshire. We loved every day and visited Harrogate one day which has a lovely park"
