"Nothing like the photos, not the lobby, not the rooms. Felt like bait and switch. Front desk was so obnoxiously rude, it was shocking. Exterior is run down, area is a bit sketch. Room was decently clean though, good size. "

"I had a great stay at Hyatt Place Knoxville Downtown. The location is a major highlight—within close proximity to excellent restaurants and the University of Tennessee, Knoxville campus, making it very convenient whether you're visiting for business, a game, or just exploring the area. The hotel itself is clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful throughout my stay, and everything ran smoothly overall. The only minor drawbacks were that breakfast closes at 9:00 AM during the week, which felt a bit early, and I had some difficulty getting the room temperature exactly where I wanted it. Aside from those small issues, it was a very positive experience, and I’d definitely stay here again."

"My stay was only one night due to my schedule and that I wanted to try this hotel for future visits. The staff were all wonderful, and the room exactly as shown, with comfortable beds and very nice bath accoutrements. It was good to see that the shampoo, conditioner, and body wash were in handy dispensers in the shower, rather than having little plastic bottles. So, both easier and more eco-friendly. The breakfast was very good, with plenty of options."

"Clean room but someone was smoking on our floor which seeped into our room. Even though there’s no restaurant that’s run by the hotel, it would be nice if the restaurant downstairs would run orders to the rooms. I called and they said they couldn’t (or wouldn’t)."

"Refrigerator in the room was broken. Bed pillows were harder than boulders. The building elevator was on its last leg."

"The staff was great. We stayed 3 nights. It was great for our purpose. Lots of restaurants available. Starbucks close by. Walmart across the street. Only ten minutes from the tennova med center. Loved the kitchenette area."
