We love Carson City. It's in a beautiful area near Lake Tahoe. Their tax on fuel and goods is lower than anywhere around. Diesel is $2.00+ per gallon cheaper than where I live.

"I was very impressed with this budget motel. It was so clean. The pillows were comfy. The staff was friendly. I felt safe. Slept great. It had everything i needed. Small fridge. Microwave. Great shower. Free coffee. Did i mention it was spotless? No weird smell. The only negative would be how loud the fan on the ac was but it didn’t keep me awake. So not even a big negative. This was a great stay for such a great place. And downtown Carson city is CUTE! "
