Carnoustie Golf Hotel

10/10 Excellent
"We stayed for 3 nights in Aug 2026 and had a great trip. The staff were all very welcoming and helpful, we were made to feel at home during our whole trip. The room was clean and bathroom was great. The only things we could fault was not having air con (who would have thought in Scotland) as it was exceptionally warm the nights we were there but we used the fan provided. The food in Calders and the rookery was lovely and breakfast was good too. Our favourite bit, probably like most guests was the viewing terrace out back to watch golfers come and go and to sit and have a drink on the comfy furniture. The pool facilities were great, especially useful as we traveled with our 7 month old and the sauna/steam room looked good despite not using. All in all we had a great time and the staff were the biggest asset, they made us feel like good friends and look forward to coming back to see them again!"

"Staff very helpful Food good, great to get home cooked meals, and not all the usual chain microwaved / boil in the bag meals. Only down side can be a bit noisey, we were the room directly above the bar, with it being so hot we had to have our windows open so my little boy struggled getting to sleep, after the first night we kinda got used to the train noises and the noisy banter outside the front of the pub. All in all would recommend , my little boy wants to come back, the staff were all amazing with him, one waiter even tried to help repair his scooter when the chain came off. Very friendly nice hotel, in great location."

"We feel the breakfast let the hotel down. Times stated are 7am to 10am. That should mean that there should be full availability and the hot food should be hot. We had our breakfast at 9 each morning and the hot food was warm not hot. It was a shame as it did let the hotel down. We did enjoy a very tasty meal in the early evening."
