"Wonderful property. We were able to dive in the water right outside our door off the deck. Mandy and PJ are wonderful hosts. Breakfast was awesome. Food nearby was awesome. The only knock I would have is that across the channel, the clubs in Bocas Town are loud until 2 AM. Fortunately, Mandy and PJ provide white noise sound bars in the room. We would definitely come back!"

"Great property right on the water! The kayak, surf boards, and paddle boards were endless fun for our family. Sizable home - great for a large group. Armodio - was an immense help throughout the duration of the trip. We loved Casa Acuario for breakfast and Bibi's for dinner. Escuela del Mar is amazing for surfing. We saw sloth, countless crabs and birds near the home. I recommend Starfish beach for a day trip as well! "

"Don't get lured by the nice pictures. They were purposely boosted up. The hotel is located on a small island surrounded by the locals' cabins and a school. From and to Bocas town the only way is by water taxi $1 per capita ($2 at night). The land entrance is an alleyway leading to the local community. "Buccaneer was more or less what we expected based on other reviews. It worked for our family because we wanted an affordable option right on the beach (not just a dock over the water) because our kids are little (2 and 4). As mentioned by other reviewers the free breakfast at Bibi’s restaurant was frustrating because they never opened before 9 and our kids were hangry by then. The room was clean except that the place is infested with some type of termite so there’s a coating of their discharge...

"I have stayed here many times, and the relaxed vibe always brings me back. The grounds have one of the best sunset views. The staff is fun and attentive. We think the restaurant has some of the best food and drinks in Bocas. It easy to get a water taxi to Isla Colon or other islands. You can relax by the pool, enjoy the beautiful garden, or read a book in your over the water cabina."
